That's why they give you 2 keys. Put one safely away (just in case). If you also loose the second ... well then you will have to break the lock. That is the entire goal isn't it : if you don't have the key, then you can't steal the computer.
That is why I use the locks with a numeric code instead of a key. …More- Answered by Jildert D

There is also Maclocks security cable lock which is quite awesome since it comes with a cool clear case with ventilation slots that elevates it and make sure it won't get warmer, I use it with my MBA at school and when I study in Starbucks.
Just google Maclocks and get in to their website. …More- Answered by Lior Y from Ramat Gan

Will this work on the new 27" iMac? and do they make a version I can lock down an external HD on the same wire?
- Asked by Brian W from Waterford
- Nov 22, 2009
Best Answer
I know that it will work on the 27" iMac, because it has the lock slot on the rear, above the power port. i don't know about whether they make a different version with two locks on one wire, and it depends which external HD you are using, some have lock slots, some don't.
if you wanted to lock down the external hard drive and the iMac, you could buy two of these cables, and connect one to the iMac, and one to the external HD if it has a lock slot. …More- Answered by Sam R
