The speakers are very good have a great sound and what i like about this speaker that the others dont have is that you can turn it on its side and watch tv or scroll through the album covers!

I ordered this clock through the apple store. The pictures make it look ok, but it looks and feels cheap in real life.
I have to remove the case from my iPhone to dock it, and without guides to slide it in, you have to be very careful putting it on. Once you dock it, you realize what limited interaction there is between the phone and clock. The clock doesn't set itself with the iphone and besides the ipod remote where you can move forward and back in your playlists...they share no information. So it is a regular cheap night stand clock with an iphone port.
The clock itself is BRIGHT and has no option to turn down. The first night, I had to turn it towards the wall so I could get to sleep. The simple and few as the controls are...it's not even easy to set the time.
The speaker is ok I guess..but in reality, you will never find yourself watching a video on it turned on its side. Maybe if you live in a closet and have no other computer or TV...so that little novelty is worthless. Overall I regretted the purchase and if a guy from work won't take it off my hands for half price, I will return it. …More214 of 302 people found this useful

After some of the reviews, I didn't know quite what to expect. It does exactly what it says it will do. It's a nice alarm clock and I can listen to my music and charge my iphone while I'm going to sleep/sleeping.
It has a dimmer for the clock right in front, so it's easy to use and has four different levels of brightness. It's nice and heavy --doesn't feel like it will tip over or be knocked off when you turn off the alarm.

Not good for use with iPhone

Every time I connect my iPhone 3G to the iHome unit, I get a message that 'This accessory is not made to work with iPhone' and some more text about turning the iPhone to airplane mode to use. If I select this option, I cannot get calls, emails or texts. If I ignore this selection, I get intermittent static interference that can be very annoying.
The speakers are ok to use as an alarm clock function, but if you are looking for something for your office or home - there are definitely better options out there. …More15 of 19 people found this useful

The users guide for this product states "iPhone/iPod must not be in a 'skin' or case" when using the iP41.
