    Best Keyboard cover

    Written by SR from whitesboro

    Apr 15, 2009

    Pros
    -practically invisible
    -feels great
-very thing, you won't notice it's on after a while
-provides great protection against spills and dust

    Cons
-kinda pricey for a piece of plastic but worth every penny, its the only one of its kinds out there right now. Others are made of super thick silicone.

-as it gets dirty, the more opaque it gets. So i decided to clean it with soap and water...BAD IDEA. the opaqueness got worse. So the solution is to rinse it GENTLY with water. DO NOT CRUMPLE IT UP AND SCRUB the wrinkles will be permanent. use a QTIP to clean it instead. And last but not the least go over it with a little bit of baby oil just to get it all clear and shiny again =)

    Protects your keyboard

Written by MB from Costa Mesa

    Mar 19, 2009

I just received this product today in the mail. It fits on perfectly (its very thin too), you can't even see it (my bf didn't even know it was on); however, there is a little spacing above the function keys. It also gives my keyboard a little glossier look. As for typing with the moshi clearguard on, it feels squishier and you have to push down a little more. I also let it sit on my laptop for a while with the screensaver on and when I came back, it felt a little warmer on top (I'll be testing it more to see if it makes my macbook warmer). Overall, it will definitely prevent oil, dirt, crumbs, ect. on getting on/in between your keys. It is a good buy, but I wish the price was a little less. More

    The BEST keyboard skin ...

    Written by JD from SAVANNAH

    Mar 31, 2009

I don't know how I missed THIS one for so long, but luckily I finally came across this skin and I'm so glad that I did ... it's superb! Unlike it's rivals (all of which I've tried in the past) this one is actually clear and has a GORGEOUS tactile key response (meaning you can actually still type with little to no effort)! The others feel like you are attempting to type through THICK rubber cement ... but this one is SWEET! It's quite clear (almost invisible), it's very thin, and allows for easy depressing of keys!!!!! Pricey, yes it is! Worth the cost?! YES (especially considering the cash that I spent on the other, more cloudy, thick/gross/RUBBER models)! More

    Great Product

The protector is transparent. It's hardly visible and it fits the keyboard perfectly. One I should mention about is, it makes the typing a little bit noisy but it really does the job. More

Great protection once used to it!

Written by ML from Virginia Beach

    Nov 28, 2009

I have had this protector in place since I received my MacBook Unibody a month ago. It was awkward at first, and took a little getting used to, but now it seems as if it is an integral part of the computer. I tried typing with it off, and the keys are too smooth! I like the feel of this on the keyboard. It is much easier to clean the stickies off this than the actual keyboard after my 8 year old uses the computer without washing his hands. (I know: "MY child would never disrespect the computer like that! Harumph!!" I live in Reality World and my children are not perfect. Sorry!)

Summary: This works, and feels good. Seals off a point of vulnerability on your MacBook or MacBook Pro. Is worth the low price for the insurance it provides.

    Functional

    Written by TM from Kent

    Nov 23, 2009

I really liked the idea and I do use it when I am "being dirty" around my computer (e.g. eating). But when it comes to typing a document or email, I quickly take it off. It has a lot of traction so you have to completely pick up each finger and it slows down my typing considerably. It makes my fingers tired (which I never noticed before). I was going to use it with my students but I think this product makes typing more difficult.

My other huge problem is that if there is anything on the key protector it gets on the screen when you close it. Things tend to stick to the protector and don't wipe/blow off easily. Therefore my computer screen gets dirty. I try to remember to take it off before I close it and am really annoyed with myself when I forget. When it is sitting around it can collect dust and stuff easily.

Again, it is functional and when I need it I use it. But if I start typing an email, I quickly take it off. Other than those two complaints I like it. But they are big enough that I can't keep it on constantly like I was hoping. I took it off when I started typing this. :)

I don't know what you mean by air spray but my netbook did not like a soda dumped on it's keyboard. I was lucky because I was able to repair it myself. I don't want to think about what it would cost to fix my Macbook Pro. Sure there are other ways for liquid to enter the machine but by far the keyboard is the biggest. Also if you are like me and go camping or take your laptop out doors it really keeps down on the dust which can get in!

Of course ultimately it is up to you. The current skin I have is stiff and makes it a bit harder to type. I am looking into this one to see if it is easier to type. So that is the downside of having one of these...

Shouldn't restrict your airflow as the vents on the MacBook are on the back and the underside is still aluminum which will bleed off heat. More
