    Perfect Solution

I am an elementary school teacher and we use several Bretford products within our school
District. This product has been especially helpful. Since we can not afford to purchase enough iPods for each school, we share them and this case has been wonderful for this purpose. The iPods are transferred between the 5 schools several times a week and the case has done an excellent job with protecting them, as well as providing a syncing solution. I read the previous review and I personally don't see a design flaw as such. The case does not have padding along the sides, but we haven't had any issues, especially since all of our iPods have protective cases on them. I can't imagine not having individual cases on iPods that are being used by a bunch of elementary students with "slippery" fingers :). Overall, I love the case and the other Bretford products that we use. They have helped us bring technology into the classrooms which facilitates critical thinking and prepares our students with the necessary skills to succeed in the outside world. More

Fire the slack idiot who scraped by designing this & the fool who approved

We have several of these and they are POORLY designed. The issues below I am sending to them to see if they bother correcting them:
    1) The doc connectors are on extremely short cables -but the plug is almost twice the length of Apple's dock connector
    2) as a result the cables cannot curl or bend and instead force the ipod against the outer wall of the case and up into the air at an angle
    3) There is no padding around the shell so the ipods are forced into hard contact with the outer shell because of this
    4) additionally there is a lot of stress placed on the connectors and the ipod connection. The cables are disconnecting from the ipods. You can literally watch them break connection as the minutes tick by.
    5) The power supply area is HUGE for something charging ipods and should have been built smaller and/or with recesses to accommodate the cables. It could also have been built taller (2 inches of open space) instead of wider to allow the needed space for foam around the edge of case and for the cables to flex.
    6) These cables are going to break as a result of the stress placed on them and they are not detachable/user replaceable.
    7) Both the power and the USB connectors are on the inside of the case. So you cannot plug in the case unopened to charge or sync. Possibly a heat issue but I have seen no heat problems. That could be remedied with vents in the case.

The James Bond like case (possibly Pelican brand) will probably survive a fall from a skyscraper. However the ipods would not because they contact the bare hard case. The case concept is good but this so badly executed that those involved with this need fired. In the time I took to write this 3 ipods have disconnected from there cables. This case is an Epic Fail.
