Good All In One for a Reasonable Price

I decided it was time to upgrade my printer, and wanted to get an ALL IN ONE, since I was also in need of a scanner and copier. My previous printer was a canon printer ( i 960) , and since I was very happy with the quality and ease of use of that printer, I decided to stick with a canon product. After some research I determined that the new Canon MX330 would be perfect for my needs. This printer delivers as promised. It does a great job at all functions, and was very easy to set up. Photos ( when printed on canon's glossy photo paper) look great, and are near or as good as photo lab quality. Documents printed out come out very sharp, and the automatic feed feature for multiple pages during scanning/faxing works great. The Fax feature I could not test totally yet since I don't have an actual phone line, but use a "Magic Jack" line, and there are some issues when trying to fax using a "magic Jack" phone line. I am going to play around with the fax settings to see if I can get it to work through my "Magic Jack" line, but this is no fault of the Printer, since "Magic Jack" says its phone line may not work for faxing. The Printer is pretty large, so it does take up a fair amount of space, so make sure you have plenty of room before getting this model. Ink guzzler

I love my new printer except I've paid for it several times buying expensive ink that lasts a very short time. Recently I printed a very few small pictures and I'm out of color ink again. My black ink does a little better but It uses much more than previous printers. I will not buy another printer until I find out how much ink it uses. This must be how Canon sells such nice printers so cheap. They make their profit on ink. …More

Stay Away!

I got this printer and used my $100 rebate thinking I had scored a great deal for $9.00 - this is just how great: it gulps ink like there is no tomorrow - so your investment in ink will be substantial. After just four months I have had trouble with the driver and although technical support was terrific, 4 days after helping me get it running so it works marginally, now it will not respond to commands to print from my computer. Today, I have been officially pushed over the edge and am scrapping it and going to buy something that actually works. Basically, this printer was a waste of the stamp on my rebate visa and I should have applied it to a more reliable machine. Stay away my friend! It is not worth the ride. …More

Apple should offer 'free' printers that actually work with their machines. This paperweight will not work no matter what I try. Good thing I have a printer already and only took this one because it was basically free. Maybe it will work with my old Windows laptop... if not, into the bin it goes. Apple, you are not doing yourselves a favour by offering printers that do not work. I bought my iMac to get away from things like this. …More

Paper loading is scarry loud.

Got the printer for $69, so it's a bargain in my opinion. I'm a real estate agent so I mainly use it for ADF and grayscale printing. The only thing that really bugs me is how loud the sheet feeder is. I almost had a heart attack the first time I heard it! …More

The upside:
This printer is cheap/free.
There is a feed tray to copy/scan stacks of paper.
Downside:
Feed tray jams regularly.
Ink is non refillable.
Ink is fairly expensive.
There is a communication error 8/10 times I print, so I am perpetually trouble shooting this thing. (always puts a smile on my face when I'm in a rush)
Print quality is mediocre.
