Incase 15" Hardshell Case for MacBook Pro
Not the best, but does protect your MacBook
Written by MA from Montreal

Although this product is very efficient in protecting your MacBook pro, there are some negatives about it..
First of all, it is extremely hard to remove the case. So if you are planning on just slapping on this case on occassions, forget about it and save the hassle. Some people are yet to figure out how to even take the thing off.
Second of all, and most importantly, although the case has air vents, it is still not 'good enough' and does heat up your MacBook.
Third of all, it limits the angles of your screen. It only works very well with the 90-degreeish angle. So if you like to put your screen further back, it wont support it.
Your MacBook was made to look sexy, I suggest if you know how to take care of your laptop, keep it that way. Find a good bag to protect your laptop and some of the other case slips. I wouldn't particularly suggest this product, but it does protect your notebook from scratches if you want to be free with it. …More250 of 292 people found this useful

Incase 15" Hardshell Case for MacBook Pro
Flawless product!
Written by BR from TAMPA

First thing's first. Read the directions! Even though the installation is VERY self-explanatory, a lot of people don't install it right and then complain that it's not fitting.
I've read the reviews on how the case is extremely hard to remove, doesn't fit properly, or how it limits how far you can open the screen back. All of these things made me hesitate on spending the $50 to purchase this. But after reading all the bad Speck reviews, the Incase was a much better choice.
And to clear everything up, this case DOES fit properly. Some reviews say the bottom casing doesn't fit snugly and sags in the back. But like I said, if the (simple!) instructions are followed, you will have a sleek and sexy case that fits very snug on your Mac!
It's not hard to install or remove. The top casing does take some minor effort, but that's about it. The best way I found to remove it was to first unhook the snap just above the iSight, then unlatch one of the top corner snaps. Then you can slide the case off. Snaps right back on!
And as for the screen not being able to tilt all the way back, that fault was ONLY on the old Incase hardshells. The Incase shells made for the aluminum unibody let your screen go as far back as it's meant to!
The heat vents on the bottom casing are excellent. Even when I would have my MBP on a table or a desk, it would still heat up. The casing lifts your computer just a bit higher, so there's more space for air to flow. Since getting this case, I haven't experienced any overheating! (The "vent" on the Speck case is nothing. It covers an area of about 2 square inches. On the Incase, the vent is all along the back of the casing! Check out the pictures of both cases to compare).
I hope this helps anyone who has serious questions about this item.
In my opinion, I couldn't have gotten a better case. This case is pretty amazing. And if you happen to get any greasy prints/smudges on it (Come on, it's going to happen sooner or later), just wipe it off with a damp cloth! …More145 of 152 people found this useful

Incase 15" Hardshell Case for MacBook Pro
Excellent!!!

Great fit and feel..! General handling is more confident, while not compromising on styling. Allows access to all features, the full range of screen movement, and doesn't really add any noticeable bulk or weight.
Easy to fit, just look at the fitting diagram first, its a snap!
Protects MBP against accidental scratches and abrasions from undesirable surfaces, or other encounters, also aiding in a more confident surface grip.
I also own the Incase Backpack and Neoprene Sleeve, MBP easily slips in and out of the Backpack, the Sleeve can be slightly tricky at first to use with this Hardshell due to it's slightly grippy nature, but it still fits and works fine...
Am very happy with this Hardshell product, Incase has saved my bacon several times! …More112 of 127 people found this useful

Incase 15" Hardshell Case for MacBook Pro
Wish I'd Done it Sooner!
Written by LF from Greenwood Village

My Macbook Pro was mysteriously "dropped" (kids I think), and while I was at the genius bar for help I took a moment to browse accessories. I decided a case might be a good idea given what had happened, and I picked up this case. Mine is green, but otherwise the same item. I am so not technically savvy about things or handy when it comes to putting things together (thats what kids are for, right?) but I popped this on in about 15 seconds - it all but puts itself on. No clicking, no interference with any of the ports, doesn't add to the dimensions of the computer, no heating. And I'm starting to like the green. Perfect! …More

How do you clean it? (The outside?) Does it scratch the macbook underneath?
- Asked by RS from Bloomington
- Oct 18, 2009
Best Answer
It's an extremely rigid case and snaps on very easily without much trouble, so there's not much possibility of scratching the underside while putting it on.
When its on it practically makes the macbook impenetrable so scratching could be very hard.
Where as cleaning i'm not sure whats the correct way to clean it but i have been using a duster cloth and it has been working a treat. :) …More- Answered by CM from DROGHEDA
