Overview
Beats Tour deliver sound so big, you would think you had speakers in your ears. Newly developed in-ear speaker technologies reproduce clear natural vocals, detailed highs, and deep powerful bass without distortion. Wired with high-performance Monster Cable, Beats Tour delivers sound performance never before achieved in any earphone.
Beats Tour also features the world’s first tangle-free earphone cable. While earphones are convenient, taking the time to untangle them is not. Beats Tour features Monster’s new innovative headphone cable that not only sounds great, but is completely tangle-free. So untangle less, and listen more.
World’s First Tangle-Free Cable
Normally Monster is all about the sound. But when it comes to the earphones people use everyday, they had to get rid of the annoying ritual of untangling your earbuds everytime you use your iPod. After ten years of research, they finally figured it out. Monster’s patent pending flat cable design with Duraflex jacket simply does the trick.
Hear What You’ve Been Missing
The audiophiles at Monster proudly present their newly developed ultra-fast speaker design delivering the full sound and details of today’s digital music with great clarity, natural vocals, and bass punch.
Get Low Get Low
It took Monster more than three years to develop the technology that gives Beats Tour bass so big, you’d think there’s a subwoofer in your head. It’s deep, club-like bass. Dr. Dre would have it no other way.
In-Ear Noise Isolation
Sealed in-ear design reduces external noise for a better music experience than traditional earbuds.
Play it Loud with Full Power
Most earphones don’t have the power to play music at the volume some music lovers prefer. Beats Tour large high-efficiency drivers and magnetic technology play loud without distortion. Hear everything no matter how loud the rest of the world is.
Monster XLN High-Performance Headphone Cable
Monster’s patented Magnetic flux tube and microstrand construction provides clear no loss audio and reduced interference to Beats Tour speaker drivers.
Designed for Apple Sound Check
The Sound Check feature on your iPod balances playback levels so all your music tracks play at a consistent volume. Beats Tour’s high-efficiency drivers ensure you can hear every note.

Surpisingly Balanced
Written by JR from HOLLYWOOD
Dec 19, 2008
I've had these for a few days and they've had a chance to burn in. I've used them at the gym, for video gaming, and for household use.
First off, the sound. You'd think these earphones would be bass-heavy, but that's not really the case. While they definitely have adequate bass, the sound is very well balanced. Use an equalizer, and you can definitely get more of the low-end. But even with extreme low end, they never sound muffled or distorted; the highs and mids are still very pronounced.
The design. I really like it, however it does have a few shortcomings. The cord is great, but it's a bit heavier and longer than most other cords. This might be a deal-breaker for those of you who want a good set for the gym or when running. The weight of the cord when running pulls on the buds and sometimes dislodges them. Which brings me to the next point. I was shipped 2 pairs of large silicone earbuds and 1 small pair. I don't really like the flanged ones, and a pair of medium buds would have been ideal. I don't know if this was just my pair or if that's how Monster is shipping them.
For household use and video gaming, they're amazing!! The cord is long, the sound is great, and they're wonderful for use on your computer, gaming system, or home audio system.
The price is a bit steep, and I've definitely heard earphones with similar quality in the $100 price range. However, time will tell if these last, and if they do, that will make the extra cost worth it. I've bought numerous pairs of $100 Sony earphones that sound great, but last only a few months.
If you're looking for a very well balanced earphone, and you use them mostly for home audio, these are awesome. They definitely work in portable applications, but the longer and heavier cord might be an issue for some users. …More622 of 727 people found this useful

Sound very good. Build quality very poor
Written by DL from London
Nov 12, 2009
I just wish they had spent at least as much time thinking about build quality than in the design of the whole package. It is such a shame that I was twice unable to enjoy the very high quality sound for more than 6 months as this is the time it took for both pairs that I bought to give up on me. And like one of the other reviewer, I have been very careful with them but it seems that just the frictions generated by taking them in and out of my jacket pocket or from a bag are enough to get the wires exposed in 2 places: where the red sheath meets the jack and where it splits into the left and right earplug. The same happened to my wife's pair who also got damaged by just lying at the bottom of her handbag and being left almost untouched for about 6 months. I really believe that at this price level, this is totally unacceptable. So unless you think you will be able to unplug them and store them in the nice hardcase that comes with them each time you want to go out and about, I would not bother. 4 stars for sound quality, minus 3 stars for abysmal build quality. …More

Sounds great . . . but poor design!
Written by GG from National City
Nov 9, 2009
I bought a pair of these In-Ear model and at first I loved the sound coming out of these tiny headphones. However, the design isn't great for active people . . . it kept slipping off my ears when I'm working out and running. After having it for 4 days the cable connecting into the jack came undone and it looks like it's getting ready to break off. The sound quality is amazing and definitely worth the price, but I wish they made one that's a "sport" model and can withstand some bumps and bruises. …More
