Kensington Power Port Mount for iPhone and iPod
A bit misleading. Doesn't actually power your device.

While this mount does plug into your power port, it doesn't actually power the device that it's holding. You have to buy an additional charger or power device as this is just the mount. I felt this was misleading what with the photos of the power plug, and the word 'power' in the product title. …More

Kensington Power Port Mount for iPhone and iPod
Does what it is supposed to :)

I have had this product for well over a month now and it works brilliantly. Unlike the Kensington liquid Aux Deluxe, which had a shoddy design and simply refused to work for me, I found this product to be a much better alternative.
Keep in mind, this is a HOLDER only. It has a much sturdier mount than the other Kensington lighter socket mounts and it does a better job of rotating from portrait to landscape. It does NOT power your device, rather it offers a power pass-through for an alternative product to do just that. I use a Griffin device that accepts an auxiliary in, plug my phone in with one jack and voila, convenient sound. And the foam supports on either side make it easy for me to just slide my phone in and it actually holds it pretty well, WITH my case on. …More119 of 128 people found this useful

Highly Recommended

I dont know how I got into my car without it. It sits right next to my right hand. My Iphone 3GS fits snug and no wobbling. It rotates, and when you rotate it, your screen goes horizontal which means its bigger. The connector passes through the power so I hook the phone to that so I dont consume the battery. This is much better than having a windshield mount. Go get it!! …More

Kensington Power Port Mount for iPhone and iPod
Great Product
Written by AM from Cincinnati

This product is great. It leaves your power port open for other devices (just as it says in the description -- the person that rated this one star must just look at pictures and buy things based on prettiness... even then I'm baffled because you can see in the picture that it only uses the power port as the base holder for the stand itself). I don't really mind that it doesn't actually charge the phone, I actually find that more convenient. Most people buy a car charger for their phone anyway and this allows you to use that but additionally use the port for other things as well when neeeded (unlike some of the others!). …More
