You gotta have it!

I wasn't sure how it would be, but it so cool. It increased your external speaker by 10 decibels. it really works and it is a sleek look as a dock if you run the cable through. If you are looking for speakers for travel or just need a little amplification, try it. No power needed and no cords to pack.

Nice Product - Phone Case users beware!
Written by DW from MECHANICSBURG

Similar to the Bose Acoustic 'Sound Wave'. It does provide more volume (claims 10db gain - have not measured), a slightly harsher sound, and a nice small footprint.
If you own a case for your iPhone, this will not work for you unless you take the case off the phone. There are 2 rubber 'adapters' depending on the 2G/3G phone you use.
I have an Altec Lansing powered speaker system and the connector/dock has room to accomodate an iPhone that has a case around it.
For $20 - you can't go wrong if you don't use a case (shame on you) or don't mind taking the case off every time you want to use this.

What a difference...
Written by DA from Grapevine

I wasn't too sure about this product, even with the good reviews coming in. But when I used it for the first time wow, what a difference. This little ice cube looking device actually does a really good job of filling the room with a louder sound. Even at half volume on my iPhone 3gs it is loud enough. If you have a charger cord you can even turn it into a bigger docking station. The device goes back to the simple sience of coiling sound around a couple of curves. The only thing would be is if you have a case it will not fit. Unless you have an InCase Slider, which I do, then it works perfectly. Overall great product. …More

Awesome but not compatible with a case
Written by EZ from Colorado Springs

This product is great! It does just what it says and personally I don't have a problem with the quality of the iPhone speaker so it's really nice to be able to make my music louder.
The only problem is that I have a plastic protective case on my iPhone and I have to take it off every time I want to use the AirCurve. It's pretty inconvenient if you use a case that's any thicker than just a skin. Just something to keep in mind if you're thinking about buying one. …More7 of 9 people found this useful

Griffin AirCurve Acoustic Amplifier for iPhone
Louder, not better
Written by JW from Leland

The AirCurve does what it advertises - it makes your iPhone louder. But the sound quality of the built-in iPhone speakers is already so poor, ultimately the AirCurve just makes a bad situation worse.
I returned mine after testing it out for two days in the office. I played a wide variety of musical styles and adjusted the EQ settings on my iPhone to see if any improvement was possible. No matter what I tried, the sound was tinny and annoying; not something I would want to listen to every day.
The most practical application of the AirCurve that I could imagine is as a docking station that increases the volume of the ring while you are at home. However, be prepared to re-thread the charging cable each time you remove your phone, because you have to pull it apart to push the buttons that release the cable. Not worth $20, especially considering that for only $30 more you can buy a portable set of speakers that actually improve the sound of your music.
