    Great Mouse

I use to use this mouse at my old job designing graphic arts, and custom signs in 2005, and I thought this mouse was amazing then. Now I final found another Logitech trackman at the apple store online, for everywhere else kept sending me a refund, because no one seems to have this mouse in stock. No more moving my arm around in circles like I am scary. By far this is the best mouse out there right now, and it is so difficult to get it online or in stores anywhere. I think it is being discontinue. More

By any name, it's mightier than the mouse

Originally called the Logitech Marble Mouse Trackball, the TrackMan Marble Trackball is the superior alternative to the mouse. Unlike a mouse, it sits in one place and your fingers use that big burgundy ball to move the pointer. Your thumb does the clicking and once you get accustomed to it, using a mouse will seen quaint and clunky.

Long before the optical mouse rose to fame, Logitech was already employing optical technology in the TrackMan Marble and its siblings. Pop out the ball and you'll find a small rectangular window. Behind that window are an infrared LED and the sensor. Together, they track the movement of the marble's leopard spots. It might not be as sexy as the red glow of a conventional optical mouse but it gets the job done with more precision and comfort. The TrackMan Marble is even ambidextrous, allowing lefties to use it as easily as righties. Oh, and those two tiny buttons near the big buttons? Those take the place of the scroll wheel, allowing you to cruise up and down the screen.

    Didn't last three weeks

I purchased the Logitech TrackMan Marble Trackball from the Apple site for our iMac. It worked great for about two weeks then gradually the cursor would go crazy. By the third week you couldn't direct the cursor anywhere on the screen without it going back to the top left corner. I uninstalled and reinstalled the software and it did the same thing. I popped the ball out to clean it and it still didn't work. Because the computer is useless if you can't click on the application you need I had to go buy another mouse. I bought the Microsoft Comfort Optical Mouse 3000 and have had it a week with no problems. Since this experience I have heard several people say they've had similar problems with trackball's. Where were the people BEFORE I wasted my money? More

    One cool big mouse....

I have used this mouse for years, back when I used "Sony" desk top, back in the dark ages, (3) years ago. This is one of the best mouse's to use, cleaning it is easy, pop out the big red ball and dust it out and your good to go. Now if they could TEACH Apple how to make a mouse, and scrap the mighty mouse that is one of the worst designs ever, I just re-cycled my mighty mouse last week, At least this mouse, and the scroll wheel will work, unlike the ol" not so, mighty mouse. for the price, this mouse rules!
