  • Awesome for Home Studio Use.

    5.0 out of 5 stars

It is just a great sounding mic. It has a very detailed sound to it. It's especially great on vocals and acoustic guitar, but for the most part it makes anything you put into it sound good. Paired with a decent preamp, running through an apogee duet, you're on your way to professional sounding recordings.

  • Beautiful Product

I love Blue's designs. The retro design looks cool, the sound quality is great, and construction seems robust enough for everyday home use. The only problem I've experienced is that I over tightened the thumbscrew on the bird cage and broke off the thumb tab. It's under warranty so I don't think there will be a problem getting a replacement.

I just bought a Bluebird this weekend and I was astounded at the presence in my vocals, and the crystal clarity which it delivers. You can not beat this price right now at $299.00... you could spend $300.00 on the extras that you get with the microphone alone. I am in love with Blue products and will not ever buy anything else.

  • Simply AMAZING!

I searched for months upon months for that cost effective mic that would give me a $1000.00 studio sound and would be perfect in e very way - vocals, instruments, etc. Well I found it with the BlueBird!

Amazing, just amazing. I thought, Ok I'm going to buy this thing, hook it up, and based on the good reviews it'll probably give me a decent sound for the price and if it's not up to my standards then I'm going to return it.

The minute I plugged this bad boy into my Apogee ONE USB interface and put my ear phones on to speak into it ... OH MAN OH MAN! You have to try it to believe it.

This thing could easily be sold for way more than 300 bucks. That's nothing for the quality you get from this mic. I can't say enough about it. If you have been treckin along for a while now looking for "that mic," then you can stop waisting your time and just buy the Bluebird. You'll actually be so impressed that you might be tempted to buy a second one as a back up. That's what I'm thinking of doing.

  • Great Sound!

I was surprised that this microphone had this much clarity and power to it. I was setting it up and than all of a sudden the sound came on through my headphones and I was amazed of how clear and rich the sound was. Definitely worth 300 dollars. I would recommend saving a little extra for this mic than for any of the others. Buy an icicle if you need the easy USB converter. Buy this product, I'm a Blue Microphones fan.

actually pay no advice to the first answer they have no idea, to use this microphone you will need t o buy a microphone pre-amp which has phantom power (48volts) to send to the microphone, as this microphone is a large diaphram condenser microphone which can only record with phantom power and then im sure from the microphone preamp there will be a 1/4 ich out put that can be connected up to an audio interface that works with the ipad, but a microphone pre amp can cost anything from £40 to £1000s, but if you just want a microphone that records straight into a 1/4 inch audio interface that does not require any additional power get an shure SM57 or a Shure SM58 depending on what you are recording, example an SM57 is good for rock vocals guitar percussion, an SM58 is more for live stage vocals as it boosts a little bit more in higher frequencies. but an SM57 is a good all round, its strong and will only cost about £90. hope this helps. Peace

    Answer

Potentially you could, but it is a condenser mic which is most commonly used for studio recording, a nd I would much more recommend using a dynamic microphone for live performances.

  • Answer

There wouldn't be a reverb or echo button on the actual microphone but once you have a programme suc h as Garageband or Logic open you can edit the track and put echo and reverb on the track.
