Overview
SPORE: Galactic edition lets you play any way you choose in the five evolutionary phases of SPORE: Cell, Creature, Tribe, Civilization, and Space. Each unique phase presents different challenges and goals. You may choose to start in Cell and nurture one species from its humble aquatic origins to its evolution as a sentient species. Or decide to start building tribes or civilizations on multiple planets.
How you play and what you do with your universe is entirely up to you. SPORE gives you a variety of powerful yet easy-to-use creation tools so you can create every aspect of your universe: creatures, vehicles, buildings, and even starships.
In addition you get DVDs, books, and other collectibles that give you deeper insight into SPORE and the artistic and scientific concepts that guided its design.

This game is really fun I usually play war games but this is much better. Making up the creature, conquering planets, going to space. and meeting up with friends it's great. The extras are VERY HELPFUL!! a book telling you the best way to play a The making of Spore DVD and the National Geographic video. The best part is its the same price as the normal game!!! …More

I understand why some people would say that this game is not that great. Some of the events and sequences of play are repetitious and seemingly pointless. But this is a powerful game that allows you to truly create your characters and their environments. I think its brilliant and I recommend it to anyone. This game needs improvement.
First, you're greeted with a galaxy, very nice, you then get to choose what you want to play as, and you have a choice of planets to visit.
You start playing as a cell, or as a creature, and then evolve through the stages.
However, the stages are very short, and the gameplay never gets any different. There's not much coice.

I got Spore for my computer and as I was reading the reviews, I was surprised how much everyone praised the game. I'll admit, I haven't played through the entire game, but still, I didn't find it that amazing.
