Perplexing
Written by SL from GLOUCESTER

I have this same software [2003 version] on my PC and I play a lot of Mahjong. On the PC version of the software which runs great…Read more, I normally get what appears to be a random tile placement [classic layout] each time a new Mahjong game is started. On my IMAC using the Hoyle 2009 software version I am now getting the same tile placement each time I start a game unless I manually reshuffle. The software did not start out that way but now it seems stuck in a rut. I keep track of my statistics and on the PC software I have averaged solving about 1 game in less than 6 played. On this MAC version my average is about 1 in 11 played. That is strange and most perplexing... so go figure! The jury is still out on this piece of software at least for me, and I haven't played many of the other games, so just be aware that there may be some annoying bugs.

There's a game for everybody in this box. You also don't have to have the CD when you are using the game so it's great for travel…Read more. I use it on my 12" PowerBook which is 3 years old and it runs just great on it with no waiting and the laptop doesn't get hot. It is good on battery power when you must play on the go. However, if you use it on a Windows machine, you do need the CD to play it.
