Overview
The iHM77 speakers attach to each other magnetically in a capsule shape for the ultimate in portability. They separate and extend for surprisingly big stereo sound that must be heard to be believed. The iHM77 includes two amplified speakers with built-in rechargeable batteries, vacuum bass expansion, and USB charging, along with a protective carrying case.

I am not often compelled to write a review of a product. But these speakers fit so perfectly with what I wanted, I had to share. …Read more I was looking for a small portable speaker that allowed me to play tunes from my MacBook, my IPhone or any of the other family IPods. I was also looking to have the flexibility to easily setup the speakers at the office or in the house. I got all of that plus more.
The speakers can run on their own power allow me to take my music outdoors (but not by the water).
They are not music hall sound, but they enhance any listening opportunity.Was this useful?

I purchased them a couple months ago - the red ones! I would have purchased the purple ones to match my I-Pod but they weren't av…Read moreailable then! :( But anyway, they are fantastic! I took them to a barbecue. People watched me hook them up to my I-Pod and they all thought, yea sure. When the sound came out, everyone was truly amazed! The batteries lasted all through the barbecue and were still going strong. I carry them with my I-Pod Classic in my purse.

I have to admit I was dubious at best but these speakers have proven to be quite good. I use them in the hotel room with my ipod T…Read moreouch and they sound pretty darn good. If you're expecting floor stand speaker quality you'll be disappointed but if your expectations are "real" you'll like them.

these litte things are great..... theyre easy to bring around anywhere to use with a group of friends (everyone is shocked by the …Read moresound that comes from these puppies)...they became my permanent laptop speakers for music and movies too cause theyre SOO much louder and clearer than the built in ones on the macbook pro
the rubberized finish feels nice and i cant get over the 'twist to expand' feature..theres a slightly audible hiss when the speakers are on while charging but thats easily drowned out by the music...battery lasts very long too....already bought a 2nd set for a friend..you will NOT be disappointed(584 of 627 people found this review useful)

Ok, fine thats one word, but don't compare my grammatical tendencies to my insight on rating products. I bought these little spea…Read morekers about a week ago and when I looked at these wimpy, dinky, insignificantly minuscule speakers I was having second thoughts about what I just bought. But once again looks can be deceiving. I was in complete awe when these little guys pumped out sound you thought came from a much larger set up speakers. Not only do they sound better than a lot of other desktop speakers, they are smaller, cheaper, more aesthetically pleasing, and USB powered. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention they're portable! It doesn't say what the battery life is on these things but i've used them for over 6 hours using battery on a moderate volume level. All in all these speakers greatly exceeded my expectations and i would recommend these speakers to anyone looking for some small portable speaker! it scored 9/10 on all aspects of my personal electronics rating system and you should not take that lightly seeing as how I'm a huge pessimist when it comes to gadgets. So give yourselves a pat on the back iHome design team for making me a devote promoter of your product and a very satisfied customer!

i got these speakers hoping just to do better than my iphone. the truth is even though the picture on this is with the macbook air…Read more, these speakers although freakishly small, they are better than my macbook pro. decent bass.
