The Iqua Sun Visor works well however it's handy to know a few things...

    Written by NG from CHESTER

This product works really well. It sounds great on both ends of a call. Before you buy, you may want to know a few things:
    1) The photovoltaic cell cannot be exposed to sun (for charging) if the unit is clipped to a sun visor with the buttons facing you. Which I know sounds dumb and it is. The supplied dash mount more than makes up for this oversight and it can be solidly dash mounted and in the sun for charging and phoning purposes, so that is what I do.
    2) The instructions are microscopic. It's easy to overlook how to pair it to your iPhone: Press and hold the visor power button to turn on the unit, after the unit blinks its bluetooth symbol, let go of the unit button and enter 0000 into the bluetooth dialog box on your iPhone.
It's a really nice unit for those of us that don't like headsets. It's safer because you can hear traffic with both ears and it charges itself.

    what was i thinking?

Written by FF from santa cruz

    Nov 16, 2008

i bought this on an impulse in a Mac store. I thought it seemed like a great idea. But the design is not conducive to being clipped to my visor and it doesn't seem to work very easily. The blue ant device, that my car dealer gave me, is much better. I thought the solar power feature was so great. But it seems to lack an automatic function system. Also, the documentation that comes with the thing, and the on-line support is very bad. So any support i received was via email, and that was slow. I put the thing in the map box and returned to my original. More

A must for talking while driving

    Written by JC from Austin

Great sound, smart design and SOLAR POWERED! Apple finally seemed to jump on the “going green” bandwagon by delivering this environmentally friendly car kit which I’ve been using for about a week now, without any problems. It pairs easily with my iPhone and works well on the road, and I’ve yet to charge it a single time. For anyone who wants to save money and power when they’re on the phone. More

    disappointed

    Written by SP from Arcata

I bought this a few months back and no one can hear me when I talk. Everyone says I sound like I am in a tunnel. Only my sister can tolerate me on it because she's nice. I tried it with many different phone numbers and in various places thinking reception was a problem, but there was no difference. I was screaming into the microphone as I drove - I must have looked like a maniac. I have given up and use the speaker aspect for the iphone and clip it to my seatbelt on my chest. Technically, I am hands free, sort of. Waste of money. Solar aspect was too cool not to try, but don't bother. More

    Don't Buy It

This is a waste of money. Hardly no one could hear me on this device. AND, it bubbled up and melted on my dashboard.

Simple set up, easy to use...

    Written by MM from Kailua

My state just passed a cellphone ban in vehicles and this has been the perfect solution. No batteries to forget to recharge... just throw it on your dashboard when you leave the car. If it's dark out, use the car charger that it comes with. My only complaint is that it is sometimes too loud and I have to turn it down a little. And the biggest perk of all, you don't have to shove something in your ear and look like a cyborg. More
