MoneyWorks Gold is an advanced multi-user capable accounting solution for larger businesses. Gold is 100-percent cross platform, running on and seamlessly between Mac and Windows.

    Good accounting for the Mac

    Finally an accounting package that does what it's supposed to .... REAL accounting. After getting frustrated with the other accounting packages out there, my research led me to MoneyWorks. The features that gold has compliments my existing business, especially the job costing and cost centre accounting. The speed over our network is a relief in itself, as all 4 users are able to enter data continuously without any "spinning wheel" syndrome associated with other applications. With no annual version upgrades, customer support plans, simply free email support, the inital cost has proven to be worthwhile. It's functionality as an accounting package is far superior, and as I am my own bookkeeper, quite easy to use. The fact that there is finally an accounting package on a Mac in Canada that handles the various taxes, provides excellent accounting, and has great support, sure puts my old PC in the corner to it's long over-due "retirement" state. …More

    Finally a real accounting program

    I run a $5 million company with 6 locations and had reached the point where I couldn't go any further with MYOB. This was in 2004. I searched the web for a replacement and finally found Moneyworks. I switched that year. One of the best decisions I've ever made. The program is a powerhouse in a way that MYOB and Quickbooks are not. My favorite feature is the ability to make each of my centers a department (sub-ledger) and see their P&L and balance sheet within the overall company. But that is just the start. It has incredible power. So good my wife's medical practice started using it. Comes from New Zealand but Grant and company are incredibly responsive and helpful. Hands down 5 stars. …More

    Good Solid Accounting for the Mac

    We used to use MYOB for many years until they vacated the Canadian market many years ago, then switched to Quickbooks for the PC, as Quickbooks for the Mac was not available in Canada. Our company decided that we were going to switch to an all Mac outfit, so we researched our options and found Moneyworks. After downloading the trial version, a decision was made that it was the one our company was going with. Since then we have had no regrets whatsoever. The application is a true "double-entry" accounting software. We have three users of which one is across town and I must say the speed to which we can access our file is not comparable by anything we have used before. Finding our information is very easy and does not require a report to be generated each time we need to find or want to look up something. As for the support, we feel it is one of the best, if not the best in the industry, and the great thing is that it is local. It did take a couple of weeks to learn the feel and how things work as it is different from what we have used before, but with the help of their support team, we were up and running with very minimal down time. In fact the application is so powerful, we keep finding better ways to make the ease of use, by being able to customize our various lists, etc. The fact that it allows multiple companies to be setup and that it handles the Canadian taxes (and U.S for we have a U.S. company as well), and handles multi-currency, was even more reason to switch since we only needed one software to handle both companies. Without a doubt this software has so far exceeded our expectations, and we recommend it highly. …More

    After using MYOB for 4 years (and suffering!), it is a pleasure to work in Moneyworks.
    Everything is laid out nicely and the program is fast. Searching for a transaction can be done on any data point and the results are returned in an instant. (With MYOB you could get up for coffee, chat up your neighbor, it come back to the program still qhirly away), Also, the data is displayed in tables and you can select any data you want to the view together. Very flexible. Finally, can't say enough about customer support. Real nice people, who know the program (honest!) answer the phone. What software can do that? …More
