    We changed from Quickbooks to Moneyworks and are very happy. It is very intuitive and the Help section is fantastic. We couldn't believe how quickly we started using it. We pushed off changing software for two years and that is my only regret. …More

    I have been a user of Quickbooks Premiere for years and many other versions of Quickbooks prior. I run my own small business and I switched to MoneyWorks after purchasing a MacBook Pro because I did not like the 'Mac' version of Quickbooks. I am very happy I made the switch! MoneyWorks has been a pleasure to work with. The help files make it very easy for the transistion and the email support from the vendor has been outstanding.     Solid Accounting Software

    I have been using MoneyWorks for almost two years, and this truly is a solid accounting system. The ease of use is what I need, for accounting is certainly not my cup of tea. After trying many applications, and even using a U.S. mac version of Quickbooks (that was a mistake), it was refreshing to find an application that actually accounts for the local Canadian taxes as well as to know that there is local support. The support is excellent if and when you need it. The application is very straight forward and I couldn't be more happier with it.     Once again this is a perfect example of getting what you pay for. Being a Mac user I needed an accounting program that was easy to install and easy to use for my graphic design business and Mac Friendly as well, so I took a chance on Money Works Express and I am extremely happy that I did. Not only is this program easy to use, but it is also easy to modify to suite all of my own individual needs. What I was most impressed by though, was the customer support. Unlike most software companies, there is absolutely no charge for any type of support needed, and the support is absolutely incredible! Their team is not only knowledgeable, but courteous and easy to understand as well. Don't be afraid of this program because it is a little expensive or you may not have heard of it before.     Thank you MoneyWorks for well thought out and intuitive bookkeeping software for small business. We migrated from our old G3s to new MacPros at the beginning of a new fiscal year and had to find a new Canadian bookkeeping program for the OS X platform. Setting up was fairly simple, but there were a couple of problematic year opening and ending accounting entries. A quick call to Moneyworks’ support line and timely follow up put us back on track so we could submit our year end T2 corporate return to Canada Revenue Agency. Moneyworks helps us understand, manage and control finances in a more timely fashion – allowing us more time to focus on other aspects of operating efficiently.     From QB Pro you can export Names (customer & supplier lists), products/services and the chart of accounts. These can be imported into Express and/or Gold.

    Although you may be able to export transactions (i.e. invoices etc.) from QB and MoneyWorks can import transactions, there is no facility provided to match up when funds were received and deposited or likewise checks issued and cleared through the bank. Therefore you can not create the financial periods for each historic period.

    You must close the legacy system, enter the closing balances (although this could be done at anytime in the future) and start using the new system.

    No MoneyWorks does not include Payroll tables. You can process payroll checks etc, recording the deductions to correct accounts, but you must calculate the deductions outside of MoneyWorks or connect to a Payroll application.MoneyWorks Support …More
