Power Support Air Jacket for iPhone 3GS
Black Matte peels off / Clear shows lots scratches
Written by RY from Huntington Beach

I first got the Black Matte air jacket and the rubbery black coating started to peel off at the corners after just a few hours of use. This was too bad because I really like the matte finish.
I then got the clear air jacket which I am pretty satisfied with but after about a week, it is showing ALOT of scratches on the air jacket (not iphone). The scratched up air jacket diminishes the look of my iPhone a bit but that is OK...I guess it is doing it's job.
Also, I noticed that I am getting some small scratches on the chrome bezel from taking the air jacket on/off and I have only taken the air jacket off a couple of times.
As others mentioned, it doesn't really protect the bezel and in fact scratches it a bit. If dropped, I don't think the case would protect the phone very much...in fact it would probably fall off upon impact.
Overall, it is exactly the size and weight I was looking for. You also get the great Crystal and Anti-glare film sets. I give it a C+ grade. …More97 of 117 people found this useful

Power Support Air Jacket for iPhone 3GS
Exactly what I wanted
Written by EK from Bedford

I was looking for an equivalent to the Cozip polycarbonate case I had for my iPod Touch. This comes the closest to that very slim, minimalist case, with the associated pros and cons. Obviously it doesn't provide much more than scratch and light ding protection for the back plastic; it doesn't protect most of the chrome or any of the face. The top and bottom of the phone are particularly exposed. However, having bought and returned one of the two-piece cases that give better protection, I just couldn't deal with the extra bulk and went back to this case for its extremely low profile. The soft-touch finish gives improved grip and much improved resistance to scratches and fingerprints. The included screen protectors are a nice touch and are very good quality. The matte black cover with the bits of chrome and exposed glossy black of the phone is a great look and, to my eye, more handsome than the stock device. All in all, just what I was looking for. …More

Loves It!!!

I was EXCITED to find out that Power Support Air Jacket was available for the iPhone 3G. I discovered Power Support Air Jacket for the iPod Touch and loved how it fit on the Touch w/out adding any bulk or weight I got it w/out any hesitation. It blends in with the iPhone you can barley tell you have a case on. The phone still looks sleek and THIN like nothing is on and its protected as well. PLUS they include two protective screen films in the box FREE for you as well worth $19 how cool is that? …More

Power Support Air Jacket for iPhone 3GS
too much money for cheap plastic cover
Written by RH from Rockwall

The matte black finish looked great, sort of like kevlar, when it was new. Now at 5 months old, about 30% of the black is worn off revealing a clear plastic case. It looks terrible. For $35 bucks, from Apple, I expected more.
Quite disappointing. …MoreWas this useful?

Power Support Air Jacket for iPhone 3GS
Very good case
Written by JR from Orangevale

I've had the case for 2 weeks now. I mainly keep my iphone in my pocket and am VERY cautious and protective of it. I have not dropped my iphone yet (and hopefully never will). I cannot speculate how this case will fare when dropped but so far the case has provided great protection from scratches. The included screen protectors are great quality too. The matted finish of the case provides a solid, yet smooth tactile surface that prevents the phone from slipping out of your hands while keeping the case free of fingerprints. It is very light weight and hugs the phone very snugly. The silence/volume button are slightly harder to reach while in the case, but this is only a minor flaw. I would highly recommend this …More

Black Matte/ Crack
Written by JH from Salt Lake City

I live in Utah and never had trouble with this case. I went on a trip to Hawaii and the black started to peek off and then a crack up the back from no reason. I am very disappointed because this was the first case that I like the minimal impact on size but perhaps that is why it breaks easy. …More

Does this case cover the seam where the back cover (black or white) meets the silver frame? (I'm concerned about that area) Does the case fit tight?

Hi :)
I actually played with this (the purple one) in an apple store, took it out and tried it on.. i fell in love with it, but didn't have the money to buy it :(
In answer to your question, while loving it i tried to get it off to return it to its case, and a fair bit of force to remove it - so yes i would of said it was a rather tight case
