I took about 45 mins (almost half the time I waited in line to buy my new baby) to finally pick this case.
I looked at the rubber/silicon cases and they feel nice in your hand but once they enter your pocket it's lint city. You'll find yourself using you own salvia to clean it off. Some might not find it odd to lick your new iPhone but people on the street might think otherwise.
This case it perfect because it doesn't interfere with the new sexy design. Almost like it's not there. And if you waited hours in line and got stuck with the white one, put this black case over it and TA-DA you got the black one you were waiting for.
If you take this case out and feel it without the iPhone in it, it feels cheap. Put your iPhone in it and it feels nice and safe. Well at least the back of it. Nothing in the package to protect the front. I'm just happy I can put it down now and not worry about scratching the back.

I have looked at many cases... this is the one to get! Most people can't tell that a case is on the phone... it's slick, very clean, perfectly designed, no extra doodads... and it doesn't add bulk to the phone. 10 out of 10!
Before (in the first gen iPhone) I had Agent 18 case. This is much better.
But if you want silly looking bumpers, or flower patterns, then this case is not for you.

I received my Flick case this morning after ordering yesterday so don't worry about the 1-2 week ship date. It looks great on my new 3G, almost as if there was no case at all. Doesn't add bulk while still being a good hard plastic in case it get dropped. Still plan on checking out the Slider once it is available but the Flick is far and away the best looking case for the 3G! …More

After many cases, many phones this is the GREATEST case ever. First off, I have a habit of my phones being treated like hockey pucks, and this case has survived being dropped and sliding down parking deck--KUDOS. Then my 65# "puppy" while still growing grabs the phone and runs and chews all at the same time. Phone is intact, case is a little damaged. I will now go ahead now that I am out of the puppy stage and buy the same case. I don't think there is a case on the market that fits in my pocket, travels through airports, gets dropped out of my car and survives dogs and it and my phone still lives. First off, all cases are grossly overpriced. I got this one on sale, thankfully, and it is the best feeling case I have ever used. I had the incase slider, but it is so bulky, requires removing part of it to dock the iPhone, and is extremely tough to completely remove. The Flick case is so easy to use to dock the phone. I was worried about the rubber that connects the bottom piece to the rest of the case holding up, but I dock my phone every night, and it shows no wear. This case does not cause scratches due to trapped dirt more than any other plastic case. Be sure to stay away from all the loose-fitting silicone cases.
I've dropped my phone, and the case protected it well. The only part left unprotected by this case is the chrome rim on the phone because this case allows the chrome to show, making the phone attractive like it was meant to be. The chrome will NOT hit the ground if dropped. The case does have enough of a bevel to be just slightly higher than the chrome. But the chrome will get light scratches from normal use of the phone.
Bottom line is... if your sole interest is to protect the phone as much as possible with no regard to feel or look, then this case is not your best possible choice. If you want a case that is barely noticeable and easiest to dock, while still offering significant protection, get the Flick. …More45 of 47 people found this useful

This case fits like a glove and a most people who play with my phone don't even realize it has a case on it, they just think its part of the phone. The bottom opens conveniently to put on a dock. That being said, here are my issues: THIS CASE DOES NOT PROTECT AGAINST SCRATCHES. The case of my phone has a million tiny little hair line scratches all over it. Dirt gets trapped between the hard plastic and the back of the phone, buy silicon if you want to avoid this. Also the case is now cracked from the dock connecter about an inch up the back of the case. I'm sure its from dropping it, but none of my drops have been from more than about 4 FT max. If I had to do it over I'd buy one from Speck. I have one for my nano, I never have to take it out of the case and it is like new. …More
