Overview

The Razer DeathAdder with Lunar White accents proves itself the ultimate gaming mouse. Its ergonomic right-handed design provides maximum comfort during intensive gameplay, and sends enemies scurrying for cover.

For even more remarkable performance, 1000Hz Ultrapolling delivers response times of 1ms--compared to the 125Hz/8ms you get from conventional gaming mice.

    Great mouse - very happy

I've gone through several mice lately trying to find one that feels good in the hand and performs well. I've only had this one a couple days but I think I've found it. Feels great in the hand. It has a sturdy reassuring construction. I love the feel of the scroll wheel. The Mac drivers still need a little polish but they're at version 1.01 so I can understand that - still, that's why I gave it 4 stars instead of the full 5. This mouse seems to perform very well when it comes to detail work - the pointer movement is smooth and sure. If you're looking for a high quality mouse for the Mac - this one just might be for you. really comfortable (sorry lefties)

I bought this mouse before it was released for the Mac. I really love the shape--the ergonomics on this mouse are top notch. The thumb buttons are well placed and have a great action. The Pro|Click by comparison, has pretty chintzy feeling side buttons. The surface feels somewhat rubberized, which is nice. On gaming forums, you hear about reliability problems with this mouse, especially in regards to its firmware. Hopefully these issues are resolved with this new model.
The mouse has a solid feel to it, not like the lighter Pro|click 1.6. This is a good thing, since the sensitivity is excellent. I feel that if you are going to be doing any sort of precision work, then comfort is crucial. This mouse has great ergonomics for my hands, though I'm sure that its shape may not be for everybody.

    incomplete

First of all this mouse is a great gaming mouse. you will need to download the drivers and you will learn to handle it's fast movement, this is a real gaming beast. but it lacks one functionality. it does not support the third button click.
there is left click, there is right click, and there is the mouswheel click, which can be emulated by clicking left and right at the same time (on normal mice). well not with this mouse.
this button is used in games like homeworld, newer tycoon series (lookaround), and it is heavily utilized doing 3d modeling/rendering. If you are looking for a mouse also to work with and you need that button you need to keep looking that's why i gave it back. but it is a really good mouse for all other gaming or all day high precision uses.

    Terrible Gaming Mouse

    Written by LM from heber

    Nov 10, 2009

This is the worst mouse I've ever used. Even with all the sensitivity settings on high, on my computer, the Razer AND my game, tracking is far too slow. If you use a Mac, you will also have to reset the tracking speed every time you restart your computer (Razer customer service says they are working on a patch to fix this but nothing yet). Also the accuracy is extremely poor; it's very hard to click on exact points. After struggling with this mouse for several months I purchased a Kensington to replace it. I will never buy a Razer again. More

    Not meant for casual use

    Written by JH from Portland

This is a great mouse, I don't use it on our macbook but I use it on our desktop gaming PC. I want to make 1 thing clear, it is not fair to complain about the mouse being "jumpy" as it is high precision, and is meant for fine control. If you want something that is not so sensitive for web surfing, get a might mouse or a regular DPI mouse.
Also it being wired is not a drawback. That is also by design. Gamers do not like wireless lag or connection hiccups interfering with their games, furthermore, most gamers cannot stand a heavy mouse, most gamers will NOT buy a wireless mouse and that is the target audience here.

That said, you do not have to be a gamer to enjoy this mouse. If you do design work and want something extremely precise, and do not have a shaky hand or something, you will like this mouse. It is very comfortable and very precise. I love it.
