    Worth the money

I don't normally comment on other reviews, but I have to disagree with one here. I, too, have been looking for a good recipe management app for all the usual reasons. After reading the review 'pain to us', I decided to pass on this one. While continuing to look, I found a very long review for this product at the MacGuild. After reading that review, even though it was for the previous version, I was impressed enough to buy the product. It is very easy to use and is amazingly powerful. Input is very easy and I can import recipes from the internet quickly and easily.

It does everything I need and more, I am very pleased with my purchase and would heartily recommend it.

    Adding Recipes is VERY easy

Bar-none, the best feature in the product is the clipboard import utility.

To import a recipe from any e-mail, web page or any other form of text, do the following:

Highlight the entire recipe and copy it to your computer's clipboard.

Now, in TRM goto the menu bar and click on [File] then [Import >] [Recipe(s) on Clipboard]

A new window should appear titled, "Manual Recipe Import."

On the left, you should see the entire recipe, line-by-line as you copied it from its original source. On the right, you should see "Dividers" to label each section of the recipe. (e.g. Recipe Name, Ingredients, Servings, Instructions, etc.)

Simply drag the divider on the right to the place in the recipe just before that section begins.

If you make a mistake and want to start over, simply click the [Reload from Clipboard] button.

Once you are done, simply click the [Continue...] button.

    Not worth it

I have used this program for about a year. Overall, it isn't too bad. However, the program ate my recipe list the other day. These are recipes I've entered over the past year. After searching for and not finding the files anywhere on my computer, I tried contacting their tech support. I was supposed to receive some feedback within 24 hours, but it took a week to get a response. More

Although I think their could be detailed instructions on how to import Master Cook recipes, I was able to figure it out and the import went fine. Other than that, I think the application does everything it is supposed to. I love it and would recommend it! More

    Awesomeness!

This program is great and allows you to arrange the recipes you collect and input easily into custom cookbooks that you create. You can leave yourself notes regarding the dishes so you can make adjustments the next time you prepare it. You can find thousands of recipes that you can load into the software just by using Google. Don't believe those that gave this a negative review- it's definitely worth the money. More
