I have had my case for about 2 1/2 years. I take my Macbook Pro with me everywhere almost every day. The oversized zipper tabs and the quality of the zipper makes getting the computer in and out a breeze. This case works and looks as good today as the day I got it. The soft and spongey material not only helps protect the computer but makes it easier on your hand when carrying it. Well i just got my MBP this past July which was my first Laptop and my first MAC... I bought this case hoping it was cover my lap top and keep it clean and it does such a great job at it!!! I'm happy! It is just what I needed for toting the MacBook to and from work. Due to the awesome battery life of the MBook you can get away with this using this case for regular days out. No need to worry about packing the charger, mouse etc. Plus, it can fit into a larger bag with all of your other accessories if you are going to be out for longer. Great protection from scuffs and scratches, dents and dings.
Super soft interior, sturdy zipper pulls and ease of use. I picked black.

I looked at many sleeves. Some are hard and scratch up your MacBook Pro. Some are soft and are not well made. This product has a velvety interior, soft rubber coated pull tabs on two zipper--if one ever fails, you can still zip this up. Nice exterior too.
I liked it so much I bought two more for other family members.
It is no substitute for a carry bag, but is something you always want near your MacBook Pro. I place it underneath as a pad when I'm working.

I’m sure you all had your ical programed to remind you to look for my review today. Yes, its my 3rd annual review of my 17” soft case. Where does time go. LOL
I am happy to report that my case is in the exact same shape it was when I bought it 3 years ago! That is pretty amazing considering I carry my laptop with me almost 7 days a week. The zipper still works great and both the interior (lime green back in them olden days) and exterior are in like new condition. Now I should mention I am fairly gentle and careful with my Mac and have occasionally sponge wiped the exterior of the case clean. Also I’m not in the construction business, don’t fly, don’t have babies or young kids, no chewing dogs, and have never used it as a soft Frisbee. The protection it provides and its durability has been great. Because of its ability to stretch I have also enjoyed not needing a brief case or additional bag of some kind. There is room to put a few other things in with my laptop. You can easily carry a few paper files (yes legal size), or a book, a camera, a cell phone, etc. whatever might take up about 1” of space depth wise.

Hi.. it's made of neoprene (wetsuit material). Neoprene was designed for divers. It allows water to enter the material, and form a thin layer between it and the human body. This water layer is naturally warmed by the human body and keeps the diver warm. Pretty much a long winded way of saying NUP.. it's not waterproof.
