Overview
The universally useful PowerDuo package contains the PowerJolt auto charger and PowerBlock AC charger along with connector cables.
PowerJolt charges your iPhone or iPod during use or in standby mode. With PowerJolt, you can listen to your music library while you drive and still arrive at your destination with a fully charged iPhone or iPod. It plugs into any available 12V accessory port or cigarette lighter socket. A convenient status LED shows at a glance that your iPhone or iPod is connected, and changes color to show that the unit is charging. PowerJolt protects your iPhone or iPod, too, with a replaceable fuse, so you never have to worry about overcharging or power surges.
An ideal traveling companion, PowerBlock is a compact yet full-featured AC power supply that powers and charges iPhone or almost any iPod from a wall outlet. It automatically handles 100 to 240-volt electric service and features flat-bladed, non-polarized plugs for use with a wide range of international plug adapters. First-generation iPod shuffle plugs directly into PowerBlock's USB port, and all other supported iPod models use the included Dock Connector cable.

Great wall charger, car charger didn't work.

I bought the PowerDuo from the Griffin website before it was listed on the Apple site. With my wife and I both having iPhones I felt this would let us only take up one wall outlet, have less to keep track of when traveling, and I needed a car charger.
The bad news first: the car charger part sucked and broke in two weeks. I have used all makes of car chargers in my car and this is the first one to 'flicker' on and off of charging. No amount of trying to adjust it would work and I never got a consistent charge. I thought that perhaps the fuse had blown or was bad. Not luck at all getting that thing out, it felt glued in. I was going to return it, but it finally broke and I ordered a cheaper branded one off Amazon which has worked perfectly since new. I see good reviews of it where you just buy the car charger, so maybe I just got a dud. I have sense used their 'fixed' (no USB slot) cord in my car and it worked fine. Still I was not impressed with the quality of this one.
The good news: the wall charger is a complete 180 from the car charger. I have to believe it is as small as they can make a charger to charge two phones (or whatever). It doesn't block the other outlet in any way and the prongs fold away and stay locked. My only complaint with the wall charger is I wish the prongs locked a little more securely in place when fold out to be plugged in like with Apple's chargers. Not a big deal, just something I noticed. I have used this to charge 2 iPhone 3G's, my Jawbone headset, and a garmin GPS...all with no problems.
Final thought, the cord that comes with this set is a little long. This can be good or bad, just depends on where you are plugging it in. If you are in your car the cord is long enough you have to tuck away the extra length. If you plug it into the wall under a desk you will be happy with the extra length over the cord that comes with the iPhone. …More56 of 58 people found this useful

Perfect for on the go

Just bought this accessory this evening. I am very satisfied with my purchase. The USB cord is a perfect length. This is the perfect accessory to keep in your car, especially if you are always on the go and end up crashing at a friends overnight. You have the best of both worlds with both an AC Adapter and a Car adapter to keep your iPhone charged. Works very well with my 3G. Charges very quickly as well!

I bought this item for the car charger and thought the wall charger made it a good set. It's never worked in my car, but works fine at home. The problem is most likely the lighter plug. I'm headed to Radio Shack today to rule out a faulty cigarette lighter. If my suspicions are proven correct, I'll be steering away from Griffen electrical products in the future. …More
