Kerio is a great exchange alternative. IMAP, POP3, Webmail, active sync, sharing, public folders...
I have administered a Kerio server running on Win03 with over 600 active accounts for over a year. Has been very stable. New OFF line connector has fixed many speed related issues (for outlook users). Support is good and has gotten better over the course of the year. …More45 of 67 people found this useful

Excellent mailserver package

Hi everyone,
As a long time user of this great piece of software, I can vouch for it's ease of setup, ease of use, and long long term stability in serving all your mail and collaboration needs. If you've played around with some of the open source based stuff that comes with mac (or indeed commercial stuff on windows, even linux) which is supposed to solve your industrial strength mail server needs, then you know you are in for a disapointment, especially if you are a mac user, and expect things to just work, and to do so easily. Well, Kerio mailserver does just that, and is packed full of features you won't find anywhere else, at anywhere near the price. Now it even does offline Outlook; what more can you ask for..
5 out of 5 stars, truly a piece of kit that no small, medium or even large business should be without. Works great for colocated servers as well without a glitch. Oh and did I mention that the webmail interface is one of the best i've ever seen, as well as being super fast? Plus, Kerio provides superb support around the clock, no matter where you are.
Go for it, you won't be dissapointed. …More40 of 67 people found this useful

Kerio MailServer 6
Good, but too expensive
Written by BB from Federal Way

It's a good product, solid and robust, better then the older Kerio Mail server that was nothing more then a rebranded version of 4D's buggy product. And it is incredibly easy to configure and administer, but the killer is the price - it's just too expensive. $600 gets you a license for ten users, that just won't cut it for a business environment. Extra user packs are quite expensive (check out Kerio's website for the details). Business users are better off using an alternative product for their mail server needs. For example, an unlimited client license of OS X Server gets you a robust mail server based on industry standard software that includes built-in SpamAssassin/ClamAV already configured and ready to go, supports solid authentication methods, it comes with a bunch of other useful services (Web/AFP/SMB/FTP/DNS/etc.), and it is all relatively easy to configure through Apple's GUI tools. For a business environment if you need to handle many email addresses for your company's internal users and/or your customers Kerio is just not an economical answer - whereas OS X Server is. …More

By far the easiest, most secure, strategically priced mail server you can get. Been using this on a Mini for a while and it is rock solid. With support for Outlook and the incredible web client, this is the absolute best mail server for MAC.
