Bose® In-Ear Headphones
EXCELLENT now let me clear up a few myths
Written by JR from Edina

These are awesome ear phones, i use them with my iPod touch and videos and music sound incredible. (they're almost as good as the headphone version of these!)Now if you have looked at the poor reviews of this product that say the volume isn't loud enough, they must have horrible hearing because i can turn them up high enough to where my ears hurt. Also the falling out of your ears, yes they do feel weird at first but they don't fall out, nor do they have any sound problems.
P.S (I'm very proud of you if you read this whole thing)

Bose® In-Ear Headphones
Definitely worth it
Written by JM from Makati City

I used to be happy with my sennheiser px100s (and I should say that they're still good), but I must say that I was more satisfied with these earphones. The sound is almost perfect at Flat setting of my ipod, and even more satisfying when switched to Loudness setting. The bass sounds very natural and by no means short of my standards, which is somewhat high. I never expected that something this small could actually sound so much better than most in-ear, on-ear, and over-ear headsets. Don't take my word for it. Go and test them at any Bose dealer. These buds are definitely worth their price. …More

Bose® In-Ear Headphones
Mediocre at best
Written by GL from Walla Walla
Dec 6, 2009
Being an audiophile and having compared these to other earphones, I have to say that these are mediocre at best. If you can adjust the equalizer on your device to compensate for the boomy, muffled bass that overpowers all mids and highs, then they will be ok. Clarity overall if poor, response on the upper end is poor and these offer little to no staging. Granted, they are better than any Skull, Sony, original Apple, Koss or whatever low end earphones. But one must compares apples to apples. For the price, a much better choice would be the Klipsch Image S4, Custom 2s, or Harmon Kardons. These will provide absolutely no noise isolation. Additionally, the silicon hear pieces cause an extremely large amount of fatigue after extended use, not to mention that they also fall out very easily. The cord is extremely flimsy and the over-all build quality is poor. These are not true in ear monitors nor are they earbuds/headphones. Supposedly, they are the best of both worlds, but I have to say that they capture the worst too. I was very disappointed in these, though I consider myself a huge Bose fan. This will be the last time I jump onto the Bose bandwagon. …More

Bose® In-Ear Headphones
The wire + tip is the problem. Sound = Good.
Written by PL from Parkville
Nov 26, 2009
Well, really there is no question about the sound. Many people already have mentioned it. However, before you buy you should highly consider the durability of the earphones. I, like many others, have experienced the issue where the rubber tips come off pretty easily. That means be extra careful when you store the earphones outside a carrying bag. Yes that includes your pocket, backpack and everything. The scariest bit is that the tip often comes off while you are pulling the earphones out from your pocket or backpack and there's very high tendency that you will lose it on the streets.
In addition to this, the wires are quite sticky from the start. But if you live in a hot, humid environment (like Thailand) it will become stickier quite quickly as time pass and the color of-course will change from the dirt/dust.
Yes, my problem is entirely about the durability. I am looking forward to change the earphones soon after about a year and a half of use. …More2 of 2 people found this useful

How well do these headphones work for runners?

I absolutely love these headphones. They sit snuggly in your ears and they won't fall out while running. I often use them while rock climbing and they never fail out. One issue I have noticed is that if you sweat a lot and the sweat gets down into the ear area it can start to seep in around the seal. That starts to feel funny after a while.
All in all they are great and I think they are time tested and my mother approves. …More- Answered by TK from Sunnyvale
