As soon as I got my new 80 gig iPod Classic (after replacing a 20 gig iPod click wheel) I put it in this case and since then I've only checked on it once. Not a scratch to be found! I'm very happy with this.
Also with this kind of product I thought that the plastic would stick on the screen very easily. It does, however only when you touch the screen area otherwise it stays clear of it while still giving your iPod a "wrapped in a blanket" feel.
Dust does not enter the case because the bottom is a tuck in flap and the hole on top is for the headphone jack.
I've used the lid feature of this product only once due to weather conditions but found it hard to operate the iPod while it was attached because I'd want to change songs multiple times. But it is easier to unhook the lid unlike buttoned lids on other products because it uses a piece of elastic material at the corner to hook around the edge of the iPod.
If you are the type who drops things a lot. I wouldn't recommend this product since the case is meant to be a slim profile fit and probably could break your iPod if dropped from a distance.

If you are a workout freak and you need to protect your iPod classic, this one is it. Great protection, easy to apply, with a strong belt clip and easy conversion to arm band mode. Neoprene construction gives great moisture protection (not underwater, obviously). With the front cover, I've never seen better protection for an iPod. With the extra pocket on the front, I can drop my front door key and a couple of bills in it on my daily walk/run to the health club. I can't do without it now. …More

I think this case is excellent. It's easily convertible and offers great protection. I feel like my IPOD is kept quite safe from any bangs or drops. The plastic over the click wheel is thick, and you do have to press a little harder..but it's still usable. Besides, you can't have great protection and 100% usability without a little give and take here and there. …More

Think twice before buying

Rarely do I write reviews like this but I feel strongly about this one.
First off, as a 5'5" female with average size arms, the band didn't adjust small enough to fit my bicep width. It was always slightly loose-- but the way that I bend my arms when I run was enough to keep it in place.
After about a year or so of using this yesterday while running the sliding snap/lock cheap little plastic piece on the back snapped off and my ipod went flying and bouncing down the sidewalk-- which broke my ipod, and now it won't turn on.
