The Sims 2 Glamour Life Stuff
game add on issue

glamour life is ok as an addition, though i am not sure if it was worth the trouble i had installing it. there are some nice wallpapers, furniture, and clothes. i love the sims2, nightlife, and pets. when i added the glamour pack, i had a problem after the installation and could no longer run the game. i solved the problem though and i will warn you what it is. if you already have sims2 pets installed as an add on to your sims 2 (as i do) then after installing the glamour life addition the game will not run because there is a glitch. VERY IMPORTANT - before you install the glamour life stuff - you have to go to the EA games website and download and install the sims2 pets patch. i installed the patch even after the crash and all things went back to normal and i did not loose my game and i did not have to reinstall sims2. …More

Ok first off I was a little apprehensive to get this pack only because of all the reviews saying it is a challenge to install. My installation was easy and above all very fast. I don't know what what could have gone wrong with some peoples game. As far as the actual "stuff" it gives you goes, it is pretty cool. It provides a bunch of new features and collections that really spice up your sims life. However they do get a little pricey. But not to worry.... there is an easy fix. All you have to do is at any point in people mode just hold down "shift" "control" and the letter "c" and it gives you a window. Type motherlode into that box and it instantly gives your sim $50,000. You can type this in as many times as you want, and to hide the "cheat" window just type in exit and it goes away …More

To those having problems

If you are complaining of the game not running after installation of expansion packs, it is because you are trying to use the wrong disk... what I mean is this...
I you install Seasons, then say, Glamour Life... You have to use the Seasons disks NOT Glamour Life... you have to use the latest expansion pack... meaning whichever expansion pack you own that is the latest must be used to run the game. Old expansion pack disks cannot read the newer files of expansion items.
Chronologically, Expansion Packs (Earliest to Latest):
University, Nightlife, Open for Business, Pets, Family Fun Stuff, Glamour Life Stuff, Happy Holiday Stuff, Seasons, Bon Voyage

I've been having a lot of problems trying to just install this product. I originally had just the Sims 2 installed, then bought Pets and Glamour life together installing them in that order. The game wouldn't run, so i uninstalled everything and then reinstalled it with pets being installed after glamour life thinking that maybe it was the order. Still nothing. I've tried downloading the Pets2 patch, which i did, but the file won't allow me to install that onto my computer. i'm horrible with computers. please someone help. …More
