Kensington Car Mount for iPod and iPhone
Works but.......
Written by DH from Santa Barbara

If you mount this using the adjustable arm, your Ipod shakes while you drive. If you mount this using the stickers and don't use the arm, it works great. Would be better if the adjustable arm was not adjustable - hummmm
The suction will mount to your window or dash (if plastic)
This is the best I've seen on the market so far. The search for perfection continues. …More593 of 778 people found this useful

Great for iPhone
Written by GG from Hollywood

I use this for my iPhone and it gives me a touch screen mounted device in my Jeep right next to the steering wheel. I can actually use the speakerphone on the iPhone to answer a call without removing it or using earphones. Works great for me. …More

Sturdy and Reliable, Buy it!!!
Written by GS from brunswick

Love this! It holds my ipod firmly and puts it within easy reach while driving my vehicles; a Chevy, Toyota, and Ford. The arm is adjustable to almost any position and the suction cup attachment locks firmly on a flat window surface. I didn't try the double sided tape they sent with it because, frankly who wants that mess on thier dash ? This is worth the money!! …More

Great product is great
Written by RM from Bakersfield

I decided to write this review because this product was getting some heat. I've owned one of these for over a year now and had little to no problems with it.
Pros: Makes changing songs on your ipod almost as easy as changing songs on your CD
Cons: The cable is a bit flimsy. One of the end rubber caps is loose and part of of the wire is exposed. HOWEVER this doesn't take much away from product since you can always buy a replacement cable at almost any store.
Suggestion: To those who like to put up Windshield sun blockers, during the hotter months you might want to use the double sided tape pad (that's included) to stick the dock to your dash board.
Overall: I give this a 4.5 stars, but since you can't give half stars I'll round up :) …MoreWas this useful?

Waste of Money

Dont waste your money. I loved it at first because the adjustable arms allowed me to use my existing case. The arms failed after 2 weeks which rendered it useless. A waste of 30 bucks! …More

Mine broke at the junction of the flexible arm and the "Jaws," when I tried to bend it into shape. I contacted Kensington by e-mail and they promptly sent a replacement, without having to send the broken one back. …More

1. Does this item mount well on dashboard rather than windscreen? 2. And how 'sturdy' is the item on rough roads?

Best Answer
This is a Windscreen only Mount.
The suction mount to the windscreen is like those items that people use for lifting glass.
It will not slide on the windscreen once in place.
The arm on the mount reaches 25cm approx from the fitting on the windscreen.
The mount is sturdy in my experience of rough road surfaces.
The holder itself has got a squeeze to fit feature. The inside of the arms have foam padding to give a snug fit. …More- Answered by HT
