Ok...you've read reviews that praised this product, and reviews that said it was flimsy.
Now read my review and decide for yourself:
First of all, for JG...you make no sense...old school???? Either way the shuffle is going to connect to your computer via usa port. I don't know about you, but without wires appeals to me.
I've had this accesory for a few months, and I love it. I keep it in my backpack for whenever I need it. It's study, go ahead...drop it...make it's day, it still will work.
The blue light that comes on, showing your connected is cool too-hidden!
Buy this dock, you won't regret it...$20???!!! That's the price of a pizza and some sodas...all for convenience and a dock that is a lot better than the one that comes with the shuffle. …More544 of 657 people found this useful

Not only is this dock compact, without any dangling cords, but I have been able to connect much more predictably. I've had disconnects, crashes at least 50% of the time with the original dock. I have had no mishaps connecting at all with the USB Travel Dock. To top it off, its much faster! Much shorter "Waiting for IPod" screens. …More

I got it home and took it out of the box and right over to my computer. The little light comes on but no dice. My shuffle will not connect to my itunes and won't even charge. What is the point of this I have no idea. …More

This is a total waste of time and money. It's flimsy, it does not hold the weight of the ipod, and mine stopped working before I had it for 8 months. The metal piece that plugs into the computer is a joke. Don't waste your time with this. Purchase the charger with the cord from the Apple company. …More
