When I first got the game, I only have 1 gig on m…Read moreemory, and it would run fine for 3-5 hrs, then it would get laggy. But once I upgraded to 2 gig memory, it runs perfectly fine. I've never had the game crash on me, even when I had 1 gig of memory. This is highly addicted once you get going, be aware.

However, if …Read moreyou purchase this game, be sure to save often (even with the Autosave) because it crashes after some time (and I'm using a MacBook Pro). Loading is extremely slow and I must admit, there aren't that many single player custom maps and they seem to be harder.

Freeverse is no…Read moret up front (before you buy) about features to disable to help alleviate (not altogether get rid of) all the crashes. And they've known about them for a long time (go to the Freeverse forums and read all about it). There *are* work-arounds to help some, but even after knowing them, the program still crashes. If you *do* buy the game, be sure to check out the forums first to prepare yourself.
Nevertheless, it's a beautiful game and (are you listening Apple?!!) one of the better games for a Mac, as bad as it is.(200 of 339 people found this review useful)
