    Awesome Game Play

Written by TH from NEW YORK

I've played Civ on PC for years ( ever since the very first Civ game came out) and loved it. But for the past year, I've been playing Civ IV on my Macbook Pro and loving it just as much. For me, game play has been great and without problem. I've read many user reviews about bugs and compatibility but haven't experienced those issues.
I got the expansion for Christmas and haven't stopped playing except to write this review.

unfixed bugs months old, don't buy on a new machine

    Written by BB from Stanford

Apple really should do more to warn it's customers about this problem, considering that it has been unresolved for some time now. I bought this product with a MacBook Pro over 8 weeks ago, and there is still no fix from Aspyr. If the company thinks it is so low priority to make their hardware compatible with new Apple machines, then maybe Apple shouldn't carry this product in it's stores. At the very least, there should be a notice online and at physical stores that neither civ iv nor warlords works on the new MacBook Pros. Civilization IV is a great game, but there are serious reliability issues with the company that is porting it from PC to Mac. More

    Great Game!

This game runs well on my 3+ year old MacBook Pro. I play the warlord edition and do not notice many problems at all. Can loose several hours to this Game! When I run a really large city it can cause the game to slow down toward the end but not so much that it bothers me! Great game! More

Break it down to four letters, LAME, you are better off going out to a nice lunch than spending the money on this game, not to mention the bugs! More

    Constant Run Problems

    Written by RJ from Denver

    Jan 24, 2009

I have had this game, since it came out a few years ago. However, I have had nothing, but problems with it crashing. The latest now is it won't even boot up to play the game. It will crash sometimes while playing it and generally they have never fixed the bugs related to a mac machine. I love the game when you can play it without a crash or in the current case when you can actually boot it up. I would avoid this game if I were you just because it runs so poorly on the MAC. More
