It works great. It's efficient and fast. If I work all day on a document, I can back it up without having to burn a disc. Small projects can be easily moved from home or office to anywhere else. It does exactly what I wanted. More

    Does not read all formats

This unit works fine for HD disks but will not recognize DD disks with my G5 nor Mac Book Pro! I've hundreds of them with data and fonts that I want to retrieve. So it's back to the Mac 9500 in storage! I've tried other drives but they too won't read DD disks. It's not a drive problem, but a software/firmware problem with Apple, as I understand. I guess the answer is to get the data via the 9500 and burn CDs or migrate the data via firewire, if the 9500 USB-Firewire card would just be recognized! More

    A key to the past

I didn't remember how many documents were locked and invisible on a handful of old floppies until purchasing this. Bought it to retrieve digital copies of old photos, but this proved more than worth its price when it also helped retrieve some old documents I had lost track of since getting rid of our last floppy-equipped computer (Performa) almost 10 years ago. Paid for itself with that alone. More
