Age of Mythology 's revolutionary 3-D engine provides the game with gorgeous environments featuring lifelike rolling terrain, beautiful waves and water, realistic sunlight, and lush forests. The units roaming these environments are incredibly detailed, move naturally over the terrain, and come to life through hundreds of fluid animations. Amazing special effects change the look of this beautiful world when the gods get involved: all grows dark as an eclipse takes effect, funnel clouds twist and grow as a tornado sends buildings spinning toward the heavens, and meteors streak in from the heavens to send people and armies flying.

This game definitely lives up to the standards of Ensemble's award-winning real time strategy games. The only reason it is not a 5-rating for me is the fact that mac doesn't have the expansion yet, the Titans expansion and that the map editor is confusing until you have used it millions of times(like me). …More

This game sucked! Get AoE3 instead.

I've been an Age of Empires fan from the beginning. I loved 2 until 3 came out, then 3 was just so much better. I love playing online, every game is different. I got Mythology cause I thought it would be a fun addition, it sucked. The gameplay is confusing. You can only order one unit at a time. You can't even really tell what the units are or do. Most pain in the rear combat I've ever played. I tried it a couple times and never touched it again. …More

Great Game

I got this game in the mail yesterday about 3:30pm, and I play it until 4:00pm the next day. I have never bought this style of game before, because I only like to games u can use gamepad. I am from the Playstation era of the 90’s, which like to use a gamepad style controller, so if the play is not compatible for gamepad use I don’t play them, because I don’t like playing a video with a keyboard it’s just not natural for my style of game. Age of Mythology is a great game fill with endless adventures throughout the game. This is game very addictive once you start playing it’s hard to stop playing, because it is so much fun. …More
