Don't use for Video playback
The audio on these powerbeats is great. They are comfortable to wear as well.
Where the powerbeats2 fail is in audio playback w The audio on these powerbeats is great. They are comfortable to wear as well.
Where the powerbeats2 fail is in audio playback when watching video. I've experienced this on my iPhone 5s, iPad 4 and Mac. One solution provided was to reset the headphones - that doesn't address the problem.
The firmware is supposedly upgradeable. Its been months since released and the version remains at 1.0.
I would not recommend these headphone is your primary use is for watching Videos, the audio lag will drive you nuts. Now that Beats is owned by Apple, I am hoping that this gets resolved. Its surprising that they haven't dealt with this as of yet.
Check other references to this problem on the web. It seems uniformly held as an issue. …

I've had these headphones for about a month now and received them as a gift. They work really great when they're actually working. I had a few instances where the sound cut out but nothing major. So after about a month, they won't charge anymore. I don't understand how I can have a product that costs $200 and have it fail within a month. It's extremely frustrating. I don't want to have to go to an Apple store with a proof of purchase just to exchange what I have already purchased. …

Bluetooth radio isn't the best on these headphones.
I am a runner and really enjoy being out in the morning before anyone is up and able to get some miles in before work. I also enjo I am a runner and really enjoy being out in the morning before anyone is up and able to get some miles in before work. I also enjoy running while listening to music or books on tape. I was using the Jaybird Freedom headset, but decided I wanted something that would stay in my ears a little better so I got the Beats Powerbeats2 Wireless.
I loved the design and I loved the fact that they had an over the ear clip that helped them stay in my ear and still allowed me to use the phone controls and talk on the phone while running.
What I have decided that I don’t like is the fact that the bluetooth radio on them is really weak. If I have my phone on my right arm or in my spandex fanny peck depending on how I turn my head my music will cut in and out. It's really distracting and kind of a pain. I have had the headphones replaced once already and while Apple support was great and immediately issued an RMA and sent me a replacement set of headphones I am still unhappy that the issue is still there. Not sure why there is such a weak radio in this headset as I didn't have this issue with my Jaybirds.
That being said I still like how they stay in my ears better than the Jaybirds so to combat the problem I have had to move my arm holster to my left arm. This seems to have solved the issue and haven't noticed the music cutting out once since I did this. …

People who claim there is a video lag are using the earbuds with a device lacking Bluetooth 4.0, when connected to my note 4 and 2 People who claim there is a video lag are using the earbuds with a device lacking Bluetooth 4.0, when connected to my note 4 and 2014 macbook air there is NO AUDIO DELAY during video playback. I have tested with Netflix, YouTube, and on device files.
By far the biggest con of these headphones (earphones, whatever, lets not split hairs here) is the occasional momentary disconnecting of the audio which I have noticed especially when my phone is in my pocket and I turn my head away abruptly (as though it cannot transmit through/across my body and shoulders). Still great headphones, they're spoiling me by getting me used to walking out of the room and still having my music play, until I get out of range …
