Where the powerbeats2 fail is in audio playback when watching video. I've experienced this on my iPhone 5s, iPad 4 and Mac. One solution provided was to reset the headphones - that doesn't address the problem.
The firmware is supposedly upgradeable. Its been months since released and the version remains at 1.0.
I would not recommend these headphone is your primary use is for watching Videos, the audio lag will drive you nuts. Now that Beats is owned by Apple, I am hoping that this gets resolved. Its surprising that they haven't dealt with this as of yet.
Check other references to this problem on the web. It seems uniformly held as an issue. …

The cable would have been better off going from behind the ears to connect the two earbuds. …

Try to use them with iTunes or IOS to watch video and the syncing issues will drive you crazy. I tried with windows media player and android out of curiosity and there is no sync issue - nice work Apple/Beats - great example of your new integration. Beats offered me the same solution as many reviewers were offered - reset and update the firmware (there is no update available). Returned for a refund and a low opinion of Beats as a result.
