Where the powerbeats2 fail is in audio playback when watching video. I've experienced this on my iPhone 5s, iPad 4 and Mac. One solution provided was to reset the headphones - that doesn't address the problem.
The firmware is supposedly upgradeable. Its been months since released and the version remains at 1.0.
I would not recommend these headphone is your primary use is for watching Videos, the audio lag will drive you nuts. Now that Beats is owned by Apple, I am hoping that this gets resolved. Its surprising that they haven't dealt with this as of yet.
Check other references to this problem on the web. It seems uniformly held as an issue. …

I run and lift weights and there are no cords to slow me down. Pairing with multiple devices is no problem. Check with Apple if you're stuck. Also, the price of lesser quality Bluetooth earphones is not that much less than these, so I think you should choose the Wireless PowerBeats2. I'm looking forward to using these with my Apple Watch! …

Getting the fit right takes some time, but they work well. Great sound, decent battery life, very light, sweat resistant. Also the mic for phone calls works well (people have said the voice quality on my calls is fine). I've logged about 100 miles w/ them so far. They really need an auto shut-off feature, hopefully this will come w/ software upgrades, etc. …
