The Beats by Dr. Dre Pill XL is a bigger, louder version of the Pill Bluetooth wireless compact speaker for iPhone, iPod, or iPad. It delivers enough sound to fill a large room or power a backyard barbecue.
Even though it's larger, Beats by Dr. Dre Pill XL is still lightweight and has a built-in handle for maximum portability. The Pill XL gives you the freedom to take high-quality audio anywhere.
Tap, pair, and play
Sync two Pill XLs by tapping them together to play the same song. You can also tap them together twice to hear your music in stereo, making one Pill XL the left output and the other the right.
Change tracks from your iOS device
Pair the Pill XL to your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or any other Bluetooth-enabled device to change tracks and adjust the volume from up to 30 feet away.
Visible fuel gauge
A visible battery fuel gauge lets you always know how much power is left. Pill XL's rechargeable battery gives you 15 hours of continuous play and it automatically shuts off after ten minutes of no signal detection to save power.
Not only does Pill XL deliver music power for hours, it has plenty of extra juice to charge your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

I have owned the Big Jambox and Bose Soundlink, but by far the Pill XL is my favorite. It has the Volume and Bass of the Big Jambox and clarity of the Bose. It also has many features that the other two do not have. You can charge other devices using the Pill XL and you can also connect multiples pills together for a surround sound feel. It is so far a Perfect device. Don’t walk to buy it, RUN. …

Great value for the money!
I should start off by saying that I have owned a few bluetooth speakers in the past and most recently still have the Bose SoundLin I should start off by saying that I have owned a few bluetooth speakers in the past and most recently still have the Bose SoundLink III and now the Beats Pill XL and they both server their own purposes. The Beats by far has better bass and thump to it, than the bose does. Place it about a foot away from a wall and easily entertain a backyard party of 30+ people.
The Bose is great for crisp sound quality, Things like pianos and voices sound really nice on the Bose and even when you turn the volume all the way up, it's still clear. With the Beats Pill XL when turned all the way up, it can distort slightly, also depending on the quality of the source. In terms of portability, the Beats feels like a nicer unit to carry with my due to the handle already being built in and the USB charging option and hand free for answering phone calls is a bonus. The Bose has none of these features.
The Beats is a little pricey, but I find myself using it 90% of the time over my Bose so it's definitely money well spent. …

I have owned two other portable bluetooth speakers prior to buying Pill XL, and they both had gaps in the lower and upper ranges. No such problem exists with this one, especially the low bass tones, which is where the Pill XL really delivers.
No matter what kind of music you prefer, the Pill XL delivers excellent sound all the way from Country & Western to Hip-Hop. You won't regret your purchase. …
