Just an OK Case

At $79 I expected it to be a gorgeous leather and very functional, but it's not. It really does not feel like leather at all, and I just have not been able to prop the iPad up on a table with the case, the way that I expected I could.. I am thinking about returning it for a refund. …

Great case; really adds to the iPad Air

I immediately decided to get it. I have prior experience with the Smart Case for a previous iPad (3) and didn't like it because the lip at the top seemed wide, clunky, and bulky. It could be that the new smaller form factor of the iPad Air allows it's Smart Case to be more pleasing. The top lip is narrow (like the bezel) and you hardly notice it. For my previous iPad I had both the Smart Case and a Smart Cover which I used in combination with a Belkin Snap Shield Secure. The Belkin case is a low profile shell (for the back) that was designed to accept the Smart Cover. I bring this up because it was my intention to use both setups and alternate them but since I disliked the older Smart Case so much I ended up never using it. For this new Smart Case, this is the only case I intend to get as I really like it. It's pricey as leather is the only choice, but if I had gotten the less expensive Smart Cover, I would have gotten an additional shell for the back so there would be extra cost there. I don't mind paying a little extra for a good solution like this. …

Simply, good protective casing for daily use and travel

See my review of that (1 star) - cover fell of when I was walking with the iPad, ipad slipped out of my hands onto the hardwood floor, screen cracked.
The cover of course is a tiny bit thicker, but only just. You can easily travel with it (back protected as well) and I can't imagine the iPad Air falling out by accident. …

Looks and feels good

This product was obviously designed with light w I previously had an iPad 2 with Hammerhead hard shell back and Apple Smart Cover. This product was obviously designed with light weight and thin profile as design priorities, and it works. The design compromise is well placed. I see what critics are talking about with stand set up issues but if care is taken to fold the case properly, it works fine. It looks and feels very good and functions even better. The light weight and thin profile of both iPad Air and Smart Case used together eliminates optimally the size and weight compromise of using covers and cases. Great product. …
