Charge and sync your iPhone 5c with the iPhone 5c Dock. Your iPhone sits upright in the dock as it syncs or charges, so it’s perfect for a desk or countertop. It features a convenient audio line out port that connects to powered speakers. You can even conduct speakerphone calls with your iPhone in its dock.
Here are some ways you can use the iPhone 5c Dock:
- Connect the dock to your computer with the USB cable (sold separately) to sync iPhone and charge its battery.
- Connect the dock to an electrical outlet using the Apple USB Power Adapter (included with your iPhone) to charge the battery.
- Place your iPhone in the dock and enjoy clear audio during speakerphone calls thanks to special audio porting.
- Connect the dock to powered speakers or a stereo using a 3.5-mm cable (sold separately) to play music and podcasts through your iPhone.

Must have accessory for the home and office
Works great for sync and charging. High quality product with a stable base.
My only complaint would be that because the headph Works great for sync and charging. High quality product with a stable base.
My only complaint would be that because the headphone jack is at the bottom of the phone, listening to music using headphones can only be done by plugging in the Line Out port in the back. Doing this results in a set audio volume level. I tried to adjust the volume using the Apple earpod volume control, the volume buttons on the side of the iphone and the volume scroll bar on iTunes app and none of them did anything. Not that big of an issue because the Lightning charger doesn't take long to fully charge my phone anyway.
Other than that, it is a clean, polished accessory that looks great on my work desk and at home. …

Cool Looking, less Function

It has a nice grip patch on the bottom to keep it from sliding around. It has an audio out port for your speaker system. It is nice to have your phone sitting up on your desk so you can see alerts quickly. It is also a fairly good angle for FaceTime.
However, it takes a good amount of force to get the two together/apart. It isn't enough by any means to be damaging, but it just feels really snug. You have to be sure to line up the connector exactly. It takes two hands to put it together/apart, and i frequently just pick it up. It isn't the drop it in / grab and go solution I was expecting. However, it is about the same difficulty as plugging in the regular charger.
Finally, you can't adjust the audio out level for the back port, and the headphone port is on the bottom. Really, you can't use this dock with headphones.
Overall, fancy looking, no function. …

Does not charge when you need it most.
Does not charge the phone when using this dock with a 30-pin to lightning adapter connected to a third-party speaker (Yamaha), HOW Does not charge the phone when using this dock with a 30-pin to lightning adapter connected to a third-party speaker (Yamaha), HOWEVER one CAN charge the phone eliminating the dock and using the 30-pin to lightning adapter directly between the phone and speaker?! What gives apple? Why make this so difficult for consumers?!?
Not to mention... I mean, NOT TO MENTION, why would you not include a cable that costs less than $1 to make with the docking station? Are you trying to upset consumers? What marketing genius got promoted from this idea?
Lastly, I was also disturbed with the design requiring that I remove the case to fit the phone in the dock. It would have been useful to add flexibility by making the space wider and including a spacing adapter in the docking kit. Not that hard to figure out...
Returning mine tomorrow. …

As you can see in the photos, the 5s has corners and the hole is more rectangular, and the 5c has more rounded corners to fit the exact shape of each of the phones respectively.
You'll want to buy the one that is meant for your specific phone. also take note the the 5s dock will support the 5.
Seeing as the 5c is slightly larger (like 1mm or so) there is a small chance that this might still hold the 5 and 5s but I would not recommend it because it probably still wouldn't sit conformably. …
