Put on the Apple In-Ear Headphones, select your favorite track, and hear musical details you never knew existed. It's almost like you're experiencing your music for the first time.

    Two drivers in each earpiece.

Each earpiece contains two separate high-performance drivers — a woofer and a tweeter — resulting in rich, detailed, and accurate sound reproduction and amazing bass response for all types of music.

    Impressive sound isolation.

Choose from three sizes of soft, silicone ear tips for a comfortable, stable fit. When inserted in your ear, they create a seal that blocks outside noise so you can get the most from your music.

    Take control.

The control capsule located on the cable of the right earpiece includes a microphone and three buttons. Here's what you can do with this convenient remote*:

    • Adjust volume by pressing the + and - buttons.
    • Control music and video playback — including play/pause and next/previous — by pressing the centre button.
    • Record voice memos on supported devices.
    • Answer and end calls.

    Steel mesh caps for protection.

Stainless steel mesh caps protect the precision acoustic components from dust and debris. You can remove the caps for cleaning or replace them with an extra set that's included in the box.

The trick is to choose the correct ear tip to get a good seal in the ear. If the seal is poor, the bass will be reduced. With a good seal the sound and noise isolation is quite good.

I tried the 3 size of buds provided and they just don't stay in my ear. I want to say that I have pretty normal ears, but these buds just slide out as soon as you move you head. It is very frustrating and now I'm not even using them because I get frustrated that they fall out all the time.
I want to change them, but not sure if they take them back

My ears are in so much pain after having no other choice than to use these while I wait for my new pair of earbuds to arrive in the mail.

The only way that I could get these to fit comfortably, would be to pulverize them with a hammer and pour the dust into my ears.

Apple makes a lot of money...the least they can do is provide the consumer (the reason you are rich) with a decent pair of buds that have interchangeable tips.

Thank you and have a nice day.

  • Pretty Darn Good!

I've gone through two sets of these over a couple years because when you do something stupid with them, the cable will break. The cables are relatively thin, and will not resist stupidity such as catching them as the center console door closed while I was pulling them out. Super-rugged, they are not.

Also probably related to the thinness, they tend to tangle relatively easily.

Now to the more important, the good.

Obviously, since they're made (or at least branded by) Apple, they work perfectly with respect to the controls for playback, taking phone calls, etc., and I'm told the sound from them on the other end of a phone call is nice and clear.

With respect to sound quality while listening through them, I like them a lot. I think the high end is very clear and distinct. It certainly starts to roll off in the extreme highs (cymbal sizzle, etc.), but it's more than satisfactory up there. The mid is nice and musical, and the bottom end is fine. It is not super-pumped down around 40-100 Hz, and I'm sure those who want ultra-thump are disappointed.

Those who like an un-enhanced bottom will be more than satisfied. I am a bass player for 40 years now, and those who say bass is lacking are just wrong; they either don't like what real instruments sound like, or they're not getting a good seal when they insert the buds.

Overall, I'm very pleased and think that to take a real step up in quality from this pair, you will probably need to spend over $200.
