It is excessively overpriced for what it is and performs poorly. This is an absolute insult from apple.

  • I found the solution for "Mode not supported"

After Cru If you get the "Mode not supported" message when you try to hook up this adapter and HDMI cable to your TV, don't panic! After Crutchfield (where I bought my TV) assured me that it SHOULD work, I did some experimenting and found the solution! There are four HDMI jacks on the back of my TV, but only one of them says HDMI/DVI. I have no idea what that means, but that's the jack that works! So it makes sense now that the reviews here and on Amazon are a mixture of "Works great" and "Doesn't work!" If you happen to plug it into the right jack it does work beautifully. If you just put it in a regular HDMI jack, no good. So give that a try. I hope it works!
