Features

Use the Lightning to VGA Adapter with your iPad with Retina display, iPad mini, iPhone 5, and iPod touch (5th generation) with Lightning connector. The Lightning to VGA Adapter supports mirroring of what is displayed on your device screen including apps, presentations, websites, slideshows, and more — to your VGA-equipped TV, display, projector or other compatible display in up to 1080p HD.

It also outputs video content - movies, TV shows, captured video- to your big screen in up to 1080p HD. Simply attach your Lightning to VGA Adapter to the Lightning connector on your device and then to your TV or projector via a VGA cable (sold separately).

    Don't give bad review because no audio. VGA has never supported audio.

    While Kenneth G. is right, he's mistaken in giving it only 3 stars. VGA does not and has never supported audio. It is your fault if you buy this thinking it has the same functionality as HDMI. It does exactly what it's supposed to, display high definition video. That is all. It's like buying a 60hz television and giving it a low rating because it isn't 3D. 5 stars. …More

    Doesn't not work with protected movies

    I bought this so that I could watch purchased TV shows with my iPad 4 connected to my NEC Multimedia projector. It's an older projector that does not support HDMI. However, despite the description for the VGA adapter that says you can watch movies and shows on TVs and projectors, it does NOT work. When I play the show I purchased from iTunes, I am given a message that says "THE CONNECTED DISPLAY IS NOT AUTHORIZED TO PLAY PROTECTED MOVIES." I get the same error message when I connect my computer monitor to the adapter.

    Perhaps the description of this product should be changed to say that you can watch movies and shows on TVs and Projectors--EXCEPT the ones you buy from iTunes? I feel that Apple is sending me the message that I should get my content from torrents rather than buying it from iTunes. Are there Apple-branded projectors or monitors that will support this adapter? What's the point of having a VGA adapter for your device if you cannot watch iTunes content that you purchased?!     …More

    I have been using a 30 pin ipad without a problem in my classes. The new lightining connector does not display on any of our projectors here. It displays on my external screen but not the projectors. And unfortunately the iPad does not have a way for us to control resolution, etc. …More

    This connector does not work with all VGA projectors. I was able to get the iPad to show up on a computer monitor, but when plugged in to the projector it would not display anything. I am a school teacher, so I also tried the classroom next door with the same results. The computer specialist at my school also tried to get it to work, and again the same result. Just be prepared that if you purchase this connector, it may not work with your projector. …More
