Works Great, Way over priced
I choose this because the 29$ option without a cord I knew would be incompatible with cases and the like so I paid $10 more to get something that would actually work. Considering that they are changing this I would have thought they'd include one with the phone.
Enough griping, this cable works great and has even made it easier for me to talk on the phone while it is plugged into my car. The cable I had was a little too short to not have a constant tugging from the coiled cord. Now with the extra 20cm I can talk comfortably. …- Written by Dana P from Kennesaw

Lets me control my iphone through my car electronics
I bought this to connect my 5 to my car (Benz) electronics so I could control my phone with the car's joystick. Plugged it in and it worked perfectly (to my surprise). My car has a 30 pin cable out and this 30 pin to Lightning fit perfectly and is long enough to the two cables together can connect to the phone while in the cup holder.
My only complaint is the price (thus the 4 star rating). Apple should include one of these with every device as we've all made investments in 30 pin cables over the past 7 years. Starting to lose my patience with Apple over this one. …- Written by Kenneth D from Fremont

It Works!
If you're like me you have at least 4 30 pin white cables; one at the office, one in each car and at least one at home. You buy t his adapter because it works with your phone case Andy you carry it with you. White lightning connector cables are $19 and you can get white 30 pin cables for just a few bucks. You use this connector to use the 30 pin cables you have now. If you have to buy 4 lightning cables that's $80 and you still can't use the 30 pin docks without the adapter. This adapter while over priced at $39.99 it is still less than buying all new sync cables. This is a 5 star product but I only gave it 4 stars because of the price and Apple finding another way to make my wallet a little lighter. Apple you should have included one with the device, most of us would have bought at least one more. …

Adapters Rule! I Love This Adapter!!
I've been buying electronic adapters since the late 60's when I was a just a kid! Because I always thought of new ways to hook up devices. Radio Shack *almost* always had the adapters I needed.
Trust me, if you can't find the adapter you need, and no one makes it, that totally hurts.
This product is well made, sturdy, and does the job. Yeah, $29 is better than $39; but if you can't get it anywhere else? $39 is fine with me.
I have 3 tiny 'boomboxes' that all have that 30-pin connector. All is good now. I'm totally satisfied.
My case on my iPhone 5 is an Otter Box Defender. Buy the best. And it has a huge, thick rubber flap that folds down, no problems with the Lightning plug. …- Written by Walt C from Mesa

Not good at all.
You're gonna be able to attach to old accessories for your iPhone 4S, I didn't have any problem with the sound, what I couldn't un derstand is Why Apple design this cable with an thick plug!!.
If you want to use it with a case or even a bumper, you better have an case with a big hole to connect it, or have your iPhone naked, otherwise forget about it!!! …- Written by Oscar R from Arlington

Deceptive
I expected the Lightning connector end to be identical to the end available on the Lightning-to-USB cable Apple provides with new iPads and iPhones. Instead, the Lightning connector end is thicker, which means it won't fit with my phone's case. Why aren't these two connector ends identical? …
