Product Information

  • With the Lightning to SD Card Camera Reader, it's easy to download photos and videos from your digital camera to your iPad or iPad mini so you can view them on the gorgeous iPad display and share them with family and friends.

After you insert the SD card into the reader, your iPad automatically opens the Photos app, which lets you choose which photos and videos to import, then organizes them into albums. When you sync iPad or iPad mini to your PC or Mac, the photos and videos on your iPad are added to your computer's photo library.

The Lightning to SD Card Camera Reader supports standard photo formats, including JPEG and RAW, along with SD and HD video formats, including H.264 and MPEG-4.

Use this with a card to keep X ammount of videos to watch and upload at whim to my mini to watch, also use SD card as a photo library. basically this makes your ipad mini into a much larger platform for getting vids and pics onto it without having your computer at hand to upload new / diff vids or photos from. which is perfect for travel where you want a HUGE GB of vids to upload to watch on your ipad mini.

I bought this for my new iPad mini. You should insert the card in the reader, then insert into iPad. No problem with transfer.

  • Getting Device Not Certified Error Message (Solved)

    1.0 out of 5 stars

Purchased a Lightning to SD Card Reader and plugged it into my iPad Air only to receive an error message stating the reader is not Purchased a Lightning to SD Card Reader and plugged it into my iPad Air only to receive an error message stating the reader is not a certified device. Much to my dismay, I then read user reviews on the Apple.com site and other sites complaining about the same experience.

I resolved this problem by returning to the store that sold the card reader and brought both the defective card reader and my iPad Air. We opened the box of another reader. Tested this card reader with the iPad Air and all worked as expected.

Apparently manufacturing defects occur more than we'd like as consumers.

My advice to anyone buying this accessory at a bricks and mortar retail location is to have your iPad with you and do not leave the store until making sure the reader you have connects flawlessly.
