Product Information

  • With the Lightning to SD Card Camera Reader, it's easy to download photos and videos from your digital camera to your iPad or iPad mini so you can view them on the gorgeous iPad display and share them with family and friends.

After you insert the SD card into the reader, your iPad automatically opens the Photos app, which lets you choose which photos and videos to import, then organizes them into albums. When you sync iPad or iPad mini to your PC or Mac, the photos and videos on your iPad are added to your computer's photo library.

The Lightning to SD Card Camera Reader supports standard photo formats, including JPEG and RAW, along with SD and HD video formats, including H.264 and MPEG-4.

Use this with a card to keep X ammount of videos to watch and upload at whim to my mini to watch, also use SD card as a photo library. basically this makes your ipad mini into a much larger platform for getting vids and pics onto it without having your computer at hand to upload new / diff vids or photos from. which is perfect for travel where you want a HUGE GB of vids to upload to watch on your ipad mini.

I bought this for my new iPad mini. You should insert the card in the reader, then insert into iPad. No problem with transfer.

Personally I take at least 300 pictures every time I go out, and I want to keep a few in my 64GB SD Card, this accessory just worked (hardly decently) on an iPad Air 2 and it just doesn't work on my iPad Air.

Apple really needs to address this.

Picked up at the Apple Store. Copied pictures rapidly from SD card without issue running 8.1. The only issue I have is with the Picked up at the Apple Store. Copied pictures rapidly from SD card without issue running 8.1. The only issue I have is with the price. The Camera Kit for my previous 30pin iPad 3 is $29 for both the SD Card adapter and USB adapter. The adapters are separate devices now for $29each.

Now I know why the iPad Geniuses have an option on their register to refund people's money for "buyer's remorse".
