I just bought this adapter for my iPhone 5.

I have the speck candyshell case on, and this adapter fits right in even with the case on.

Also, it feels like my iphone charges faster with microusb and this adapter than with the apple charger.

This product is a MUST-HAVE.

Among so many things that I have bought at Apple store, this is the best product.

I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for an extra cable because this thing is the same price as the original usb-to-lighting cable, but this thing allows you to use different lengths of microusb cables. Also, microusb cables are cheaper to replace than original Apple cables. …More

Who ever approved or design this needs to be fired! Horrible design.. no reinforcement on the wire to the adapter end part! a few twist and the 4 small wiring can break off! people who are aware about the exchange will keep buying new ones, not knowing they can go to apple n get replacement because of the 1 year warranty when u buy the iphone 5 or ipad.. …More

I bought this adapter when I upgraded from an Android to the iPhone5, I had LOTS of micro USB cables and car chargers that are now useful with the iPhone5. You can transfer that file if two other conditions are also present. 1) You only want to transfer video and pictures. 2) You plug a Powered USB hub in first. A Powered USB hub has a wall adapter to supply power (you get an error message on the iPad from the USB drive drawing too much power if the hub doesn't get power from the wall).
