Although it still irks me that such a device is even necessary in this day and age. Sure improved portability is a nice feature but taking away the optical disk drive to do so seems silly.     I have a MacBook Pro and you have to have one of these things because the new model MacBook is too thin to have one internally. Personally I could do with a computer that's a little bit thicker, but this thing isn't that expensive and in my experience works well. I've not burned any disks but have used the drive to install software and watch DVDs. Works fine for these two purposes. …More
