Ratings & Reviews

  • Love this case, with one exception.

    4.0 out of 5 stars

Very happy with this case. Had a smart cover, which magnetically attaches to the side and protects only the front, but this is a s tep up in terms of protection (obviously), and the ability to both hold the iPad and put it into a bag for travel without worrying about the case moving around and scratching up the iPad (the smart cover had metal-to-metal contact with the device, and would pop off at unexpected times). The suede-like interior is excellent, and the exterior manages to look both industrial and elegant at the same time.

The one problem seems to be the "hinge" side, which pulls away from the iPad and has to frequently be realigned in order for the case to close correctly.

I'd love to see Apple follow up with a similar case for the new iPhone due this fall.

I really like this case. Fits great and protects the iPad well yet still maintains the slim profile.

  • Not worthy of the Apple logo.

The fit is pretty substandard. The "hinge" is terrible, and it doesn't close properly most of the time (the edge of the cover pul ls away from the edge of the iPad); sometimes it pulls away to the point where the magnets aren't close enough to put the iPad to sleep.

Probably the worst Apple product ever... I can't believe Apple put out something of this quality!

This is probably one of the BIGGEST mistake of apple so far, the magnet looses its power and obviously ipad easily falls down and eventually its broken, guess what ? you will have to buy another one, may be thats the idea hey? common, i recommend to all please dont even think of buying this, my ipad mini is broken just because of this case. I said Best in my title just because it is best at breaking your ipads just like mine ;)

This thing falls over all the time and you hear this sickening thunk of your 700 dollar apple product hitting whatever surface it was supposed to be protected from. It stains with pen ink really easily and the stain won't come out (which is bad for students). There is basically one level at which you can prop this product and it will fall. I've had it for five months and the edge of my Ipad already broke through the case. Go with a Belkin case.

  • $50, really??

    2.0 out of 5 stars

Bought it sight unseen. I mean come on, its Apple and I expected it to be pretty darn nice. In all fairness, the iPad fits reall y well in it and I like that part, but the corners are sharp, the hinge doesn't look like it will last, the cover kinda covers down, but doesn't stay very well and it feels like a cheap piece of cardboard. Will return and get a plastic back from someone else and an Apple smart cover with the good hinge instead. Very disappointing to buy an Apple branded product like this. Never before have I been this let down by them. If it were $15 or $20 from a third party I could go with it, but not $50 from Apple themselves.
