Great cover - great design
After much research, I decided to purchase the black leather cover for my iPad 2.
Aesthetics:
+ look and feel of the leather is great
+ metal hing and magnet look great
Functionality:
+ magnetic attachment is great - easy to remove and re-attach
+ soft liner is great against the screen
- folds only in one direction (microfiber out)
Overall, I'd only remove less than one half of one star for it folding the the liner side out. Highly recommended if you need business black! …- Written by BRIAN A from BETTENDORF

Fantastic
The Smart Cover is a fairly standard concept, but when I had to choose, the black leather was best, because...
A: It isn't some ugly color.
B: It is flexible
C: Its kind of pretty.
However, my two problems with it, are...
A: The cover is easily scratched.
B: The inside becomes really dusty.
Overall, it's a good case, and thats why I'm typing on it now. :) …- Written by Benjamin T from Pacific Palisades

I love it...
I have an iPad 3 with the previous generation plug. I love to dock my mobile devices in the Apple docks (no longer made) when I g o to bed or when I'm syncing my devices. This way I can see the screen easily if I look from my bed. This cover either opens slightly so you can dock it with the cover on or you just pull it off and set it aside at night or when you're syncing and it's easy to attract back on. The leather is the quality choice in these covers and is felt on the screen side. I love the leather case. I will always go leather rather than plastic or faux leather. …

Frayed corners
Stay away from the leather cover. The corners fray with light use. Not durable
