Watch slideshows and movies on the big screen in up to 720p by connecting your iPad, iPhone 4, or iPod touch (4th generation) to an HDTV or HDMI-compatible display. The Apple Digital AV Adapter routes digital audio to screens that support it. doesnt work well with iphoto with iphone 4s
i just bought it and tried it with iphoto on the iphone 4s and it does not mirror the screen
the description says:
"Use the App le Digital AV Adapter to mirror whatever’s on your iPad or iPhone 4S screen — apps, presentations, websites, and more — on your HDTV or HDMI-compatible display in up to 1080p HD (movies play at up to 720p)."
it is a false statement
i wanted to show the diary on the big screen and it just didnt work i could only see the iphoto logo.
Seems to work well with other apps so far …- Written by Sergio H from Guadalajara

Inconsistent connection
Dislike: Inconsistent HMDI connection from an iPhone 4 and worse from an iPad 2. The connection behaves as if there is a short i n the cable... very frustrating! Returned the first purchase, because I thought the product may have been returned damaged; however, second purchase behaved exactly the same. I believe Apple should consider a redesign; great idea, but simply does not work well. …

Amazing!!!
This dongle is really fantastic.
I used it with my iPhone 4S and my iPad2, it does everything I need.
I think it is a new versio n since it only works with iOS 5.1 and it comes in a new package.
it perfectly mirrors my devices and I can watch movies on the TV (with HD content the quality is great).
For games is the must-have accessory. I'm looking forward for receiveing my New iPad, I'll get rid of my gaming consolle and use the new iPad when I want to play games on the TV.
Totally worth the 39 bucks. …- Written by Margherita C from Sunnyvale

Does not work with iPad 2
I am seriously about to trash all of my apple products! I bought this adapter before AirPlay came out. The current version of Flix ster is still not working correctly with AirPlay even with the update that came out today (4/22/13). So I resorted to my old 30 pin to hdmi which use to work fine with my iPad 2. Now with the iOS 6 software it doesn't??? What kind of show are you running apple? That's absolute garbage. I can understand the the Flixster side which is probably one or 2 more software updates away from getting it right, but a genuine apple product that doesn't work anymore because of an apple software update. WOW! This is 2013....get it right! …

does this adapter work with telstra afl live footy app?
- Asked by Ian H from Broken Hill
- Mar 3, 2013
Answer
I just bought the adapter today for my iPhone 4S with iOS 6.1.3. Apparently, the AFL and Telstra ha ve blocked the live stream to TVs, rendering the cable useless to the app. All I get when I hook it up is sound without picture. So no, you cannot stream the video to your TV any more. …
